Some of you may recall this tutorial written by Tsugumo which was featured on BYONDscpae. Sometime ago it went down, and was unavailable. Luckily, I had almost the entire tutorial (minus 3 small images and the forum :P) saved on disk. I just uploaded the entire thing to the following address:
http://www.freewebs.com/pixel-tutorial/
Take a look if you're interested in creating icons for your games. There is a ton of great info to be had within. Enjoy!

Did they cover selective outlining in it? I just skimmed through it but I don't think I saw anything about it... Oh well maybe this will crush the Zeta rips. Good job!

Wow. That is pretty nice. Would've been nice if they included info on anti-aliasing though, for that was one of the most useful things I learned to do. I also still would like to find out more about it. It taught me that good images never totally change between colors within too few pixels, and makes your images so much better.
When I do, and if I do, create a tutorial for BYOND on graphics in my own words, it will be alot shorter with much less info, but hopefully help those in need :) |

Why not make an "open sourced" BYOND graphic making tutorial. Since there are a million differnt techniques, subjects, ect, no one will ever be able to cover everthing alone. You would only need to make a template for making each type of entry and add submissions as they come. [On-Topic: Great read, thanks for saving/uploading that Xooxer] |

That sounds good, though I wouldn't say actually open-sourced, though I don't think that is quite what you meant :P
I wouldn't be able to make the website though, someone else would have to. |

Like the time I kept on telling my barber to make my hair more dynamic. If you want to do this I can make a website up (Well, as far as the HTML goes, the webspace and stuff is up to you). |

Then people can add their own as desired, and there's no need to make an entirely new website for it. |

Yeah, I just had the word open-source stuck in my head. Like the time I kept on telling my barber to make my hair more dynamic. Hee. Would you like some synergy with your order? |
