I think school suks too much energy from a person. I go to school, Feeling full of energy, And come home and feel too weak to move. So i have to go to bed, And never get a chance to do anything after school.

But something funny happened today. Our history teacher said "Tommorrow we're gonna do something cool." and a stundent asked "What is it?" then they got into conversation.

HT: I can't tell, But its cool.
Student: As cool as?
HT: As cool as me.
Student(+ Other students): Man..Tommorrow's gonna suck.

School isn't as bad as the real world. School work is pretty much sitting around doing nothing all day when you put it next to actual work.
At school you can just float along not really thinking unless your in the mood. At work you have to actually do your job to the best of your abilities if you want to get anywhere.

But at work you get paided to do it.
In response to Scoobert
Not really. You get money but that goes towards everything your parents would give you while you were in school.

Im in school and working, and paying for everything i do. So i dont want to hear no complaining from you.
In response to DarkView
Yer really. If my parents gave me the kind of money my dad makes a month I would be getting (grabs calculator) 583.3 TIMES more than I get at the moment! And, (Yes! There's more!) my parents have to pay £2500 a term for my school and they say I have to pay them back as soon as I get a proper job. Now THAT'S lame!

I haven't been to school in about three years. It did suck and always will. I had a job for about two years, 15k a year with no taxes is a lot for a fifteen/sixteen year old. =P I never got an allowance, so for the last year I've been living off birthday and Christmas money. =P

i hate school as well. The 8th grade is so boring! And Reading class( wicth MOST schools do not have) Is even more trying! I fell like most of the time i will fall alseep at school. heh. but at my school, homework is not a big problem. But, it they wanted me to do problems and stuff like that, and they would pay me, i'll do it.

Damn, 8th grade was 4 years ago...I miss it.
School is definitely a bright side of my life, I go to school about 30 minutes early every day, and play a 16-person LAN game of Halo PC (Demo) with several classmates, and some people from other classes. Once school starts, however, we genrally are not allowed to play anymore games, but with our awesome substitute teacher, we continue the gaming well into the class. The SUB even plays with us! Playing Halo at school definitely beats playing at some CyberCafe,... besides, it's FREE!

Today, here was my schedule:

7:30 AM - At school, halo
8:00 - boring video until
9:11 - Halo match until around
10:00 - Spanish class, sub plays 'Finding Nemo' in ENGLISH
11:06 - PE,... it's ok I guess
12:04 - Biology,... in computer lab today
12:50? - LUNCH until about
1:08 - Math :-P Yech!
2:03 - English,.. watching "Gung Ho" movie
3:00 - Freedom from the "evil" school ^_^

MY school isn't ALWAYS fun and games, but I know a lot of people now, and I certainly enjoy the amount of technology at my school,...

What's your idea of huge? Back in high school my idea of huge was bigger then the previous year.
Also, you rotate a lot in school. Go to Art, go to Math, go to Social Studies. Picture just having Art all day every day for a year.
Live with it or drop out, Crybaby.

So you're in 9th grade?

Just kidding. :P

I don't find school to be that sucky. I love learning new things, as long as it's not painfully boring. Such as my Marketing class, and World Geography class. Those are two subject I could throw out the window and never mention again. My Psychology class isn't too boring once you get into it, but at the beginning it's not very interesting.

School isn't really that hard. I thought this would be a tough schedule, but it turned out to be pretty easy. Ironically, my worst subject is gym. I try to think as little as possible and use the least amount of effort, but still get good grades, and I think I found a nice balance.

I don't have a job, so I can't compare school to it, but comparing school to my brother's work, school is probably just as strenuous. I'd imagine that most jobs are as exciting and eventful as school is.

Personally I'd rather just play video games all day rather than school or work, only problem then is a source of income. But doing cabinet installation is definantly worse than school and not only is mind numbingly boring, but strenuous as well in ways school can't compare. 12 hours of manual labor is much more strenuous than 3-6 hours of school in which most of the time is spent sitting and listening. The advantage of work is that I make 25$ and hour. This doesn't seem so great since it's mostly used to pay for school which is a pain also. This leads to just more painful work in another field :P. So hopefully the first commercial game I develop will net me millions so I can finally do as little as possible and have the funds to support it :).
7:40 - 1st Period: (Im a TA so I get to forum lurk for an hour and 15 minutes)
8:55 - 2nd Period: Modern Novels (Finals are next week so I get to do a wonderful final project.)
10:10 - Lunch (My only free time)
10:45 - 3rd Period: Social Antropology (My best class all day.)
12:00 - 4th Period: Sociology (My worst class because my teacher is a total ditz. Since sociology and social antropology are related I can stay alive in that class.)
1:15 - 5th Period: Pre-Calulus (Im not a big math fan but my teacher changed our grading system so I get to have much free time in there.)
2:30 - FREEDOM!

My school timetable today:
7.30am: Wait at Bus Stop until coach arrives
8.10am: Coach Arrives
8.45: Arrive at school (having wasted 1 hour and 15 mins getting there)
9.10: Maths, yay! 50 minutes of being taught by a total idiot!
10.00: English. 50 minutes of writing up a 4000 word analyses of a very boring book.
10.50: Break, enough time to sprint to the other end of school.
11.00: Chemistry, my only decent subject all week. Mixing chemicals to try and get a violent reaction.
12.00: Biology, 60 mins of a very boring person speaking in EXACTLY the same monotonous voice all lesson about faeces.
1.00pm: Lunch, spend half of it looking for Mel, the other half staring at her with inflatuation.
1.50: German, 60 minutes of me not having a <explicit> clue whats going on, knowing that I am going to fail my GCSE German.
2.50: Physic, my favourite subject ever, but we have the worst teacher ever. Knowing that I am going to fail my Physics GCSE I feel rather suicidal for this entire lesson.
3.50: Wait for coach.
4.30: Coach drive decides to turn up.
5.30: Get to bus stop
5.45: Mum picks me up.
6.00:Arrive home to start my 3 hour homeworks, and my even longer Courseworks.

You can see from this that I waste 3 hours, 25 mins just travelling, and another 2 hours going to lessons in which I learn nothing!

I say school sucks, but the people inside it don't (excluding my German teacher, and Physics teacher, both of whom I would enjoy to see die)

Well seeing as my scheduale is so short, I might as well post it.

(btw, I'm too lazy to write down times, that would require thinking)

First period: Body building, only 4 more weeks of this, its getting so damned tedious.

Second period: Concert choir/Madrigals;Concert choir is just a regular 4 part choir, Madrigals is for party music from about 1400-1600(or possible a larger range than that).

Third period: Tennor/bass choir. The fun class, we sing for maybe an hour at most, very rarely the whole period, then we play cards or do whatever else we want. All these choirs last all year.

Fourth period: Math, currently failing because of too many sick days, Ive got some stuff to make up..a lot of stuff to make up.
I'll have fries with that.
