I'm making a monopoly game, and want you all to see the board. So, You like?

Looks pretty good. But three things I noticed. You might color the stuff in the community chest to make it look like gold or something of value. The income tax that's nearest to a railroad should be a luxury tax of either $200 or 10%. And the chance space nearest to free parking has a backwards ?

Greatest red X board EVER!

No put space between attribute and value. No forget quotes around URL. Ungh.

Not bad... But I have one question:

I see that you're making your own property names... I can only assume that this is because of copyright problems... But you're still using the entire, unaltered, Monopoly logo (with a little TM still intact)... So, ummm, why? I mean, you obviously aren't concerned with copyrights, so why change the property names?

Or perhaps those are real streets in your hometown, and you just want to include them instead of the originals?

Fraid not, they are the original UK street names :)

Oh man, that is just plain wrong...lol

Monopoly property names were named (by the creator of the game) after streets in Atlantic City, New Jersey...

I find it incredibly wrong that they'd be changed for other countries...

I mean, the only feasible reason I can think of is to help cross cultural boundaries (using names from places you may know will make the game feel more familiar to you)... However, most Americans aren't familiar with Atlantic City, anyways, and the street names would still be unfamiliar (of course, I recently stopped there on a road trip a couple of friends and I made to NJ, and we saw most of the actual places on the board... by the way, Ventnor Avenue is rather dumpy...lol)

So if we can still enjoy it with names we don't recognize, then why can't you people over there? lol

Guess that Monopoly can have a greater monopoly on board games if its more personalized :) otherwise, I would probably consider it because the British considered themselves better then everyone because of the empire, so they had to have a London version.

Well, the truth is that there are hundreds of Monopoly variants... There is a Disney Monopoly, Monopoly Jr., Nascar Monopoly, Star Wars Monopoly, Cedar Point Monopoly, etc, etc... That all have the property names (and even some of the other spaces) changed to fit whatever theme...

So I suppose a "UK Version" isn't too far off base...

But I think that the true, original version should be the one everyone plays by default, with all others being only a novelty variant... Meaning there really should be the correct version over there, with the London version as a secondary... Rather than a seemingly complete replacement...

Ahh Monopoly... the evil thing...
I once bought a Nascar Monopoly for someone... had everything, except it had a Star Wars board and Nascar everything else.

So when somebody buys that [X] property the game ends? Sounds pretty cheap.

You missed Pokemon and Dragonball Z Monopoly (Yes, I have seen them both, and they disgust me to my core)

That's disturbing...I'm just afraid they might make Teletubies or Barney and stuff like that. Could you imagine playing a Barney board game!?? It'd drive ME INSANE!!!
