I was annoyed at the lack of a jump button, and that you can't have a trail of banana's behind you if you hold action... :(

Let me get out my list ...
Games DarkView Should get ------------------------ 1. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (This is an EXTREMLY good game, tons of replay value and ive had it for a year and I still haven't beaten it.) 2. Mortal Combat Deady Alliance 3. Tony Hawk's UnderGround 4. Metroid Prime Games DarkView Should NOT get ----------------------------- 1. Mario Cart: Double Dash (Its just like the other carts but with 2 people on a cart, whoopetedoo) 2. Luigi's Mansion (I beat it but it is as boring as your mother sitting in a shopping cart) 3. Enter The Matrix (it cool at first but its WAY too short!) |

3. Enter The Matrix (it cool at first but its WAY too short!) The button that makes Luigi go "Mario! Marrrrriiiiiioooooooo! Mario?" is worth the price of the cartridge alone. :P |

Then does he fly into bullet-time, overalls sweepning behind him, whilst shooting thousands of ghosts dead again?

Smash brothers is fun, for awhile, and to be honest, even in Multiplayer mode, it get boring eventually.
Animal Crossing is fun, until the novelity wears off. Metroid Prime is a awesome FPS Adevnture, lots to do, lots to see, the whole game looks like a FMV. Just the the Snes version, but in 3D! MK: Deadly Alliance: Best fighting game Ive played so far. Controls own on it. Best fatealties ever. Awesome Graphics, like Matroid Prime! Mario Kart Double Dash: Best racing game Ive ever played. Thats all I can say. Mario Party 5: Best by yourself or with friends! I play it all the time. Super Monkey Ball: Damn its good. Thats all I can say. Like that marbel madness game in Snes, but 100% better. I hope that helps. |

Metroid Prime is really the only Gamecube game worth playing. I haven't played Wind Waker but I head that was good too, SSB:M is alright, but I'd go with Metroid Prime, one of my favorite games, too bad all Gamecube games aren't that good. You sir are ignorant, Id like to know your reason to say GC games are not good. And, if you do reply, I bet anyone in this forum, it isn't a good reason. Ive had my GC for a year and a half maybe, and I have not be disspointed with a single game I have bought. Im tired of people saying the games are too colorful, or they are just for children, or something like that.. Cuase thats how alot of my friends talk, while they hump their Xbox. While Im at it, I guess I can put the *idea* of the next High School newspaper comic here. (Note: These all were ment to have pictures, if youd like a copy of the school newspaper from Menominee MI, page me and Ill send you a free copy!) 3 things to do with your Xbox: Use it as a door stop Use it to drop on someone and kill them Use it as a Boat Anchor Seriously though, there is so many good GC games, I dont even know where to start sometimes. Best of luck finding a good one that best suits you. Anyways.. Im done.. for now. lol EDIT: I forgot Wind Waker, best Zelda Ive played yet. |

Use it to drop on someone and kill them Gamecube is better for that. It doesn't break, but you'd have to throw it, because it's like, 3 times lighter. |

Dont use Gamecube, Xbox or PS2
Use a computer, and get a emulator |
The only game that is on my want list for the GC that people haven't mentioned yet is F-Zero X. It's wicked fun, assuming you have a vomit bag handy.

Computer that can emulate current consoles, bare minimum 500 dollars, and im not even sure if that would run very well. Gamecube, 100 dollars. There you go.

Buy Phantasy Star Online now or <font color=green face=verdana><font size=+1>e</font>l<font size=-1>s</font><font size=+2>e</font></font>!
;) But really, PSO is awesome offline in single player, online with others, or, my favorite, split-screen multiplayer. I bet DC players would've messed their pants if they had ever gotten a shot at multi-screen offline play! Mario Kart Double Dash is purely awesome as well,... oh yes,... (until your $5.00 off-brand memory card erases all your hard work! Gah!) Metroid Prime didn't hold my interest, but it's been raved over quite a bit none-the-less. Luigi's mansion is very good; until you beat it! :-P Very short game. Super Mario Sunshine is a classic, get it or weep. Mario Party games are amusing, if you play with friends a lot, grab 4 or 5 (The game numbers, of course!). Animal Crossing... oh yes,... It's cool until you figure out there's no objective at all. In the end, you'll spend hours designing various rude designs in the designer shop so the townspeople will wear your hideous creations in public. Which is quite amusing, I may add. Super Smash - Great game, got old after playing that game for about 8 months (not continually!). Still, a great game. ~Kujila ~Kujila |

Let me get out my list ... WW was awesome, but there's not much replay value. It's the same story over and over, but nevertheless, it's a fun game. (I also beat it in a week. :P) 2. Mortal Combat Deady Alliance I think Deadly Alliance was horrible. Nothing to say about it, it's just like the others, except for better graphics and more characters. 3. Tony Hawk's UnderGround Can't say much about this, haven't played it. Though the talk has been good, so I may get it. 4. Metroid Prime Another huge yuck. I refuse to even try this. Metroid is a platform game, and should remain so. I pray that they squash this series, and never think about it again. Games DarkView Should NOT get I've been wanting to try it, just because it's a Mario Kart game. I've been a fan since the SNES version, and I feel I'm obligated. 2. Luigi's Mansion (I beat it but it is as boring as your mother sitting in a shopping cart) It's fun at first, but it gets boring. I sold mine on eBay for 5 bucks more than it's worth, if that counts. 3. Enter The Matrix (it cool at first but its WAY too short!) Personally, I thought this game was extremely good. Even though it's short, it's replay value is awesome, just because it's The Matrix. Also, there is a whole 'mini-game' of hacking. You can hack into the matrix and put weapon drops, get extra options, etc. Just my thoughts on these games. ~>Volte |

I got it for the NES version that can be unlocked (since my NES is packed away and I'm a lazy lazy man), but after playing it I found it too be really good. It isn't the first person shooter death romp you expect. It's one of the best side scroller to first person translations I've seen. It actually plays like the old games. The only problem is it gets a little boring when you have to go back and forth (but that was my beef with the side scrollers). You should definantly check it out sometime. |

The only problem is it gets a little boring when you have to go back and forth (but that was my beef with the side scrollers). My problem was the stupid scanner which was largly akward to use and only added a large annoyance since wheneverI couldn't figure out how to move forward I always assumed I had missed something with my scanner. After spending few hours looking zoomed in at textures I got bored with the game and stopped. |

Yeah, that is a fast-paced game. Although, I think the steering is what holds the game down some.

I just picked up Rebel Strike, its decent, if you like star wars you have to get it.

Emulation for anything PlayStation or above is crap. Not only are the emulators rather poor quality, but the interface is pathetic.
Even with a good gamepad you don't get the same experience you do playing an actual console. Not to mention the fact you can't take your computer around with you. I can't count the amount of times I've thrown my GameCube in to my bag then went around to a friends place and sat around eating Nachos all weekend. Granted, you can do that with a computer, but when have you actually done it? When you do it the atmosphere is killed aswell. All of a sudden someone decides they want to go check their mail between games and everyone loses interest. It's also much harder to relax on a computer then a console. Usually that's because you have a computer chair and a monitor that you need to be close to. When you play a console you have a much wider range of places to sit, and it is usually hooked up in your bedroom or TV room (Rooms that are designed to relax in). To sum up- Emulation is fine and dandy, but it doesn't turn a computer into a console. |
