Subtle conversational hint: they're remarking on the irony in not being able to figure out one's IP to give out for use with a program that tells you your IP, not commenting on the importance or rarity of such information.

Actually, the program itself does not give out your IP, you need to find your ip to use to get to your index and only THEN will it give out your ip.
