I make more posts than you, and I usually read all the Code Problems and Newbie Central ones (responding to a lot of them) as well. That takes time. Not to mention that I'm usually being distracted by doing other stuff at the same time.
And don't insult me by saying I have AOL... -_- I have cable, but it's capped at a relatively slow speed. It's actually cheaper than dial-up when you take the cost of the phone calls into account, and it's faster (yeah I know, go figure... lol); but the plan we're on has a relatively low cap. Plus there's the fact that Australia is quite a way from the U.S., which doesn't help at all.

IE does not stop malicious programs from being installed on your computer. Some sites i go to, i have the security on Highest and i still get spyware and software being installed on my computer. With Firebird, no more spyware for me!

You can change the text size if you want, i mean it looks like Internet Explorer. And it basically looks the same as IE, i dont see what your complaining about. |

I recommend you at least try the latest verson for a day or two before you diss it. Your little speech inspired me to give it a try, but I found it to be nearly identical to Netscape. Soooo, I stuck with Netscape. :) |

You know what you have to do? Tick the little box saying "don't ask me again". IE does the exact same thing when you first install it, only worse. the text is HUGE ...ugh.. View -> Decrease Text Size it takes like 15 more miliseconds to load something then my favored IE Oh? How do you know, did you time it? 15 milliseconds is practically imperceptible anyway. Last time I tried it, Netscape sucked... but that was a few years ago, so it may not any more. Netscape, Firebird, whatever floats your boat; just as long as it's not IE. =P

Besides, i have something to rid myself of spyware, so i could care less. I don't care if people attack me, because I have a bullet-proof vest. They can still attack me with knives, but knives are sissy weapons! And who cares if someone shoots me in the head, or a limb? Certainly not Karasu; not like he uses his head anyway! atleast i don't ahve something asking me idiotic questions every 5 seconds. *fires up IE* *installs popup-blocking software* *goes to a website* *gets heaps of banner ads asking him if he wants to synchronise his clock, or get an update, or funnel money to the Taliban* Enough said. Did I mention Firebird has a way of blocking almost all ads, in the Tips and Tricks section on the website? I don't think I did... well, it does! |

I use IE, but that's only 'cause it's my Dad's PC and he'd kill me if I installed anything else.

Yeah, it sucks when you're forced to use IE. I had to at my previous school... hopefully my next school either already uses Firebird, or can be... persuaded. =D (I'm currently in the holiday between schools; I only left my previous one because they don't go up to Year 11, my next year.) They've probably signed some exclusivity contract with Microsoft though. =\

ACK! I hate exclusive contracts -_-. My school currently has a contract with Pepsi. Meaning, only Pepsi products can be sold/purchased at the school. Heck they even tried to tell us that we couldn't bring our OWN non-Pepsi products on campus. This sucks for me, because I prefer Coke products over Pepsi...

Honestly, it's just a browser choice. Your opinion and mine may differ, does that make it an absolute that one of us is right? So people prefer IE. Many people are simply comfortable with what they know. I will give firebird this though; easy skinning is nice ;P

You're lazier and lazier. Sheesh, you don't even have to do anything. Just click on the OTHER link and it's installed, boo hoo.
You're the one that's lazy, not us. Why do you use IE? Because you're too lazy to download and install anythng else. Why aren't you trying the newest (vastly improved) version of Firebird right now? Because you're too lazy. No, rather than make any effort, you'd rather sit here in this forum flaming everyone and defending your little hunk of crap that you call "IE". What benefits does IE have over Firebird? None. What benefits does Firebird have over IE? Lots.
Let's make an analogy here. You're sitting down at a table. Bill Gates comes along and gives you a serving of strawberry icecream, which we shall call "IE". But along the table, just out of your reach, is an otherwise identical serving of strawberry icecream, called "Mozilla Firebird", which also has a strawberry on top of it called "tasty extra features". You are only allowed to eat one of them (tasting doesn't count). Your choices are:
1. Eat the IE icecream because you can't be bothered getting up.
2. Go and get the Mozilla icecream, because it has a strawberry on top!
Which is lazier? Eating the IE icecream, of course. What you're saying is that eating the Mozilla icecream is lazier, because we're too lazy to get our own strawberry!
