Okay, well I'm running on a 20GB Hard Drive, and 128MB of RAM. Let's just say, my computer sucks!

I'm looking at Online versions of stores, to see what they have. And, I came upon a 250GB HD, and 512MB of RAM. I figured I'd buy two 512MB of RAM, and one HD. Now, my only concern is how to insert it. And, I like really need these because, I'm into the whole video editing deal, and I need to upgrade this computer. Thanks.
If you really have no clue, you're probably best getting a professional to do it for you. On top of that, your computer's motherboard may not even support 1GB of RAM. Even if it does, you need to make sure that the RAM you buy is the kind that your motherboard will use.

On top of that, go to http://www.crucial.com and look up the type of ram your computer needs, they also have the cheapest prices I have found on ram.

Don't forget to make sure the HD works for with your current setup. I got a 40GB HD when I upgraded this computer years ago, and had to take it back and swap it for a 20 because of compatibilty issues.

It's extremely simple to put in RAM, provided you know you have the right things. You just stick the RAM into the slots, and snap the locks shut. I'd suggest you do that yourself. Preferably, you'll want to find the manual for your motherboard, so you know what to get, where to insert it, and in what order (order matters). If you do it yourself, you'll avoid extra service charges, which is a good thing.

Installing a hard drive is trickier. If you don't know what you're doing, then just get a professional to do it.
Well first of all you need to know what type of RAM fits in your computer, wether it is PC100, PC2100 or whatever. Also, you need to make sure you know how to connect everything to your new HD. You'll proablaly want to keep the old one, so you need to set it up as the slave. Also, make sure you have enough power cords to support two hard drives, but most likely you do.
