I downloaded and installed Gunbound.
When i try to run it the screen goes black for a sec, then goes back to normal, suddenly i get this input.

"Can't perform initailization to start game - 33. In this case turning off "Auto monitor regeneration frequency control" can solve this problem."

Now does anyone know what this is or how to solve it?. I really dont know where i can find this "auto moniter regeneration frequency control whatever".

waits for answer*

Perhaps you should try google or another website/forum that has more to do with "GunBound" than byond.com does.

Intelligence has nothing to do with understanding Engrish.

I sure any number of their playerbase would be more than happy to do a quick review of their website, and just make it plain readable. I played that game for a couple weeks, its a lot of fun, but gets boring, and the people are really mean as well(aren't they everywhere though?).

What really bothers me is the whole equipment aspect. Oh yay, I get to fight someone who does 50% more damage than me, and takes 20% less damage. OH JOY!

Its not really as bad as that, as long as you play on the right server.

lmao,I knew it.I was about to download kazaa, but i have barely any memory left on this hunk of junk.I tried some experiments on Windows.com. But really where do you update the matrox graphics card?

You can't update graphics cards. They're hardware. Physical things. You can open up your computer and take them out. Nothing to do with software.

What you can do is update your video card driver, which is the software which interfaces between your video card and the rest of your software. But that won't help if your video card is outdated. You have to buy a new one.

It would be kind of cool if you could download video cards over the internet. Such a thing is impossible until we invent teleportation, though. =P

Then why does it say this on gunbound.net?

4. Checking 3D accelerator support of your graphic card.
To play GunBound you need 3D accelerator supporting graphic card to run GunBound. Even if it does support 3D acceleration wrong driver or old version of your graphic card might result in not being able to run GunBound correctly. So you should check whether your graphic card supports 3D accelerator first.

¡Ø How to check : Go to start and in your Run Menu you type in dxdiag and you¡¯ll see [DirectX Detect Tool]. Here you click [Display] and you¡¯ll see whether it supports DirectX accelerator function. If it says it doesn¡¯t support Direct 3D accelerator you are likely to be using old version of graphic card driver. So you should download the latest driver of your graphic card and reboot to run game.

Even when your installed latest driver and still says that it can¡¯t use Direct3D accelerator, your graphic card is likely to not support 3D accelerator function. In this case you should get graphic card that does support 3D accelerator function to enjoy the game. The entire graphic cards that are coming out in recent days do support 3D video card so you might want to look far ahead and buy one.

I wont say anything about that, cause I cant speak Engrish. o.o

By the way, GunBound is a really fun, addictive game. It only gets boring if you dont try, or get depressed from losing. :|

I would have to say that going through the trouble of re-downloading it would be a good idea..If that doesnt work, keep trying, cause the game is worth it.
