I have heard of these sprite sheets, and i have found some, but how do you make them into icons for BYOND?
You mean, .bmp or .pgn files? You'll have to take the icons and re-edit them into byond. Unless the spacing is all right, in which case you can use the 'split picture' function when importing a picture in Dream Maker.

umm i got one and it was in a .gif format!!
should i try to get one in another format?
In response to Tabu34
Yeah, that would be quite helpful, gif formats may work, i'm not too sure, as i make all my icons in the DM editor.
In response to Tabu34
you could just switch the format >.>

Same... I normaly only import some things which are easyer done on other programs- like title screens or 10x10 houses or stuff like that.

In response to Tabu34
well basically...You Recreate It...but usually this goes against copyrights and stuff

im not all that good of an artist, is there a program that will give me a shortcut?
In response to Tabu34
nope...it's just a matter of educating yourself.. It's pretty easy to make some nice looking icons but you gotta know the technique... at any rate it still takes a long time to make characters and dynamic tiles... I can give you some links if you like..

sure that would be good
