Why is the file so big? thats like lineage's download, or maybe a mini battlefield 1942.
In response to DarkCampainger
BF1942 is way larger then 70+ megs -.-;
In response to Karasu Kami
thats why I said mini version
In response to DarkCampainger
But battle field 1942 is really big. the update for version 1.6 is like 200 MB. thats 11 hours on my comp, not including waiting in line for about an hour.
In response to DarkCampainger
The game is 1.2 gigs.

the update would only take an hour on my connection ^^;.
In response to Karasu Kami
If you could find a server willing to give you 3 megs per second bandwidth. Think, man, think.

Great, Theodis. Boy, what I wouldn't give for a few of your school notebooks. Bet there is a wealth of game design and development gems to be found within. ;)

Any idea on how to correct this?

Shoot someone must have left some debug information on or you're running into non-gamecrashing errors. If it's all a bunch of repeated errors post here, if not email me([email protected]) the file. Also check to make sure stdoutput.txt isn't getting huge and that you aren't getting a stderr.txt file.

Heh it's the sound track. Without it the download would be about 9MBs :P.
In response to Karasu Kami
I'm tempted to download it, but if i have no clue what its about, why should i? Please elaberate ^^;

It's kinda like a cross between side-scrolling shooter and metroid. Most of the gameplay is shooting at various enemies trying to get up to the final bad guy while looking for the other weapons and various hidden powerups.

I give unlimited? o.o
In response to Theodis
Aww, man. Any chance you could put up a version without the soundtrack? =)

This was put up before I got the final CD but after the final build. It should be the final version. Also since the game crashes when you don't have a music file and I don't know the inner workings of the sound module I just disabled the whole module. This means no sound effects either. That and my UI still tries to make calls to the sound module when you go into sound options which will cause a crash so don't try and change them :P.

*grin* Okay, I'll be careful. Thanks!
In response to Theodis
stdoutput is fine, an stderr file is there, but contains nothing. Stdout however starts with SOUND:: Error generating sources2. and then continues to repeat Error emptying out the music buffers.
In response to Karasu Kami
You wouldnt be able to download a file that large in an hour because no internet server in their right mind would allow you to suck up that much bandwidth.
In response to Jotdaniel
You wouldn't need to download at 3megs per second for a 1.2gigabyte file in order to get it in an hour. At 200kb a second you can download something at like 720megs an hour, and at 400kb a second thats about 1440 megs an hour.... Plus he was talking about the 200meg update.

I see my error now. Excuse me.
In response to Kusanagi
Always with the math, or corrections of my ignorance...i'm just going to stop posting for a bit now.
In response to Karasu Kami
Actually I was wrong, and Kusanagi was correcting me, not you. So be happy this time -_-
