For the next weekish I've got a nice new computer with an ADSL connection, but the problem is I don't have any cool games and I'm not willing to buy a full version game for a weeks worth of playing.
So does anyone know any good strategy, RPG or MMORPG games? Preferably free, but I'm willing to settle with playing demos for a week.

http://www.fileshack.com has a lot of game demos, etc, available for download. If FPSes are okay, try downloading Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory(totally free and based off of the Quake 3 engine) or wait a couple of weeks for when the free version of Tribes 2 is released.
Splinter Cell PT Multiplayer Demo, you cant go wrong.

If you can't wait for the free release of the game, you can download the demo from http://tribes2.sierra.com
A freind of mine has a good text based RPG. http://www.MedievalBattles.com

I think he is talking about a bit more about graphical games.
I can almost peronally gurantee you will never get tired of Neverwinter Nights, cant do anything with the demo, but Bioware included a mod-maker with the game so you can make your own campaigns and stuff, unfortunatley the beta version you can download doesnt work,
and to clear up any mis-conceptions, the demo of NWN is good, but you cant use the toolkit to make any campaigns, unless you download the beta toolset, which hasnt worked for me, but maybe its just my computer anyway happy huntings

This is a great page. I think I'll spend the next few days looking around and playing the free trials, then when I go back to my normal computer connection pick one and subscribe.
