I agree with you on this whole heartedly on this one. I know a lot of people who have a lower IQ than me, but I am probably least likely to be successful. I'm smart, but I can't meet deadlines, I procrastinate, have very little will to get ahead, and am generally less motivated. I am not artistic, I am not crafty, I am just smart. I can’t sell a painting for $5 much less $1,000; I can’t build a chair that would sell for $50. I can discus my feelings on religion and why it both destroys and completes us. Although I am smarter than most people I know in my life(outside of byond), I do not consider myself better than them, only different.

It does in some ways. Just like your max in lifting weights can increase. It takes time and practice, but you can learn tricks and general world knolage that will teach you how to solve problems faster and better. Now, it doesnt change a lot because mental capacity doesnt change, in an upward direction, over time.
