Any of you guys/gals seen it (I have)? What did you think?

I thought it was good, but it had a bit of a cliche'd ending.
How is saying it had a "cliche'd" ending a possible spoiler?

It just tells people that they either:

1. Want to see it so they can see for themselves.

or

2. Say "Screw that" and follow the rest of the croud.
I'm going to see it in about two hours... and I have to agree with Karasu on this one, that's not really much of a spoiler. =) Doubtless I will have more to add to this thread in a short while...

I think he means that someone else may have replied to him with more information about the ending.

Van Helsing was one of the best movies I have seen all summer, but i Have yet to see Big Fish, and I wait for Shrek 2.

Im a very, very big fan of fantasy, action movies. And this movie has nothing but action in it. Every scene in the movie has action.

Damn, the movie starts out in a massive fight, with plently of splat and gore.

I have read Frakenstein(SP) and Im usually very dispointed with most movies that are based on the book, or feature the monster. But this movie, although no where near the book, uses the monster just fine.

Anyone who hasnt seen it yet, I suggest you do.

I recommended the Kenneth Branagh-Robert DeNiro adaptation, if you're a fan of the book.

I saw it on opening night, and I was thinking I wouldn't like it much, since it looked like a movie like 'The leauge of extrodinary gentlemen'. Although it surprised me, and I did like it. I suggest you go see it if you havn't also :)

Just saw it, and liked it. Not particularly deep or anything, but it's hardly meant to be - it's essentially an action movie, after all. =) Nice special effects too, particularly when...

SPOILERS (highlight text to read):
When the Brides die (it's particularly noticeable when he kills the first one, on the roof), how her flesh kind of melts off, leaving the skeleton which then crumbles into black dust. That was cool. Slightly gruesome, but cool. =) The bit where the heroine's brother is turning into a werewolf and starts ripping his skin off was kind of twisted though... =P
/SPOILERS

Not a bad movie if you want some light entertainment, but not the best one I've seen this year. That honour would have to go to The Butterfly Effect - but a warning, that movie REALLY messes with your mind. Its special effects aren't nearly as high-budget as Van Helsing, but it is a bit horrific in spots; both visually, and in what it's portraying. It's horrifically disturbing in a good way, though. If that's possible. =P

Er...Big Fish was a "fury" movie? What the heck?
I saw Big Fish too. I rather enjoyed it with the way many of the little stories were stretched out to the point of being obviously unbelievable. It just made the ending that much better to me.

Why is Shrek a movie for "feble" minds anyway? It'd be nice if you explained why you feel that way about the movie instead of making a comment like that.

But anyway...I saw "CastleVania Helsing" the day it came out and I liked it based on it's sort of Indiana Jones impression it gave me (because I like adventure movies like that, and they seem far and few between).

I think he is just trying to be annoying, he tried to help me with something last night he had no idea what I was talking about. =P

Van Helsing reminded me of freddy krugar because of his hat, lol. Also Crispy, the butterfly effect was a good movie, and really does mess with your head. I couldn't figure out the movie until after It was over which usually is a rare thing considering I figure movies out before they are over. Van Helsing made a lot of things obvious...lol.

The fact is, I skipped school today, it is Senior skip day. And I like to interact with the forums quite a bit, and for the time we were on, it seemed we were the only ones active. but Im sure anyone could of put down some of your ideas, especially when you insult people for liking certin kinds of movies.

You give yourself too much credit, like Xzdog, until I explained to him, I just hang out here alot. But if you feel like that, I'll gladly ignore you. I don't want anyone to think like Im harrasshing anyone.

Yes, yes it did. =)

The only thing that I missed seeing in Van Helsing was when the cart collapses into flames, and a burning wheel completed failed to roll out of the wreckage. C'mon, people! Where's my burning wheel?! =P
If you liked it then you should buy the animated pre-quel (Animatrix?) that comes out today.
