Definitley not. Since it has not been completley scientifically proven that whales won't survive nuclear winter, it strikes me as rather pointless.

Despite what you seem to think, I am using Windows and I do have Word. But I am using a secure browser (as opposed to IE), meaning that I have to download the .doc before I can view it.

Besides, .doc is a crappy format for the internet anyway. Especially if they contain pictures. Can you say "unnecessary filesize bloat"? I know I can. =P

Right-o. Word is a draft format, meaning, you use it to compose a document. It's not the format you publish in. HTML would be ideal here, but PDF would be acceptable.

It's not like the people who are reading it need to be able to edit it.
