About a week ago, I baught the next edition to the Matrix trilogy: Matrix Revolutions. Whilst a good movie, it still contained a plague that I really wish I thought I never saw ... it's an addition to the series, except using the whole MMORPG (Massive Multi-player Online Role Playing Game) perspective.
First let me comment on the graphics. The graphics seem to look pretty ... well, spiffy to say the least. It's probably the only good thing about this whole game, however there IS a downside. First off players will be able to customize their appearance ... can you say "trenchcoat-mania"? Secondly the animations for the game, especially in bullet-time, will look rather strange. As you're walking around in normal speed you see a guy jumping into the air and going bullet-time on an agent, pretty strange eh?
Now since I've ranted about the graphics, it's now time to talk about the programming, which is done by the infamous SOE! Who else would you brether have then to have SOE, maker of the total-was-supposed-to-be-great Starwars Galaxies. I think with this idea alone, it could just plainly steer people away, SOE hasn't really released anything phenonimal since Everquest!
Bottom-line, I'm sticking with World of Wacraft. Making another Matrix addition in a multi-player format is just leeching for money, and guess what SOE, YOU'RE NOT GETTING A DIME FROM ME! Bwhahahahah!
Please post your personal opinions on this matter.
