Wow does the Nintendo DS look sweet or what? Sometimes Nintendo pisses me off pretty bad, but when it comes to portable gaming, they always have done me right.
And now with the Nintendo DS, I may forget all about the Sony Playstation Portable. Why? For myself a few reasons:
1. Sony always seemed more expensive to me
2. They use Disks, I perfer carts or in this case SD cards
3. The PSP is going to rage $100 more from what I read on a few sites.
Heres a link so you can check out some of the Nintendo DS games:

while not all the games are winners, Mario Kart, A New FPS Metroid Game isn't a bad way to open up.
And while your at it check out the awesome new Zelda Game coming out.
God, even more games to waste my money on. Honestly, how many of you dont buy new games till you beat the old ones? I buy games just to own them for crying out loud. I only beat like 10% of all my games.

I prefer cartridges. I would gladly pay a slightly increased price if the game came in cartridge form. I would not mind some other form of storage device either as long as it did not require rediculous loading times after every level (which is what the Playstation with its CDs used to be known for), so that would make my reasoning contain two points: speed and aesthetics.

Yes, Id rather pay for the cart cost, and get added speed and protection in my opinion. I dislike cd-roms, they are too easy to ruin. Scratch the Bottom, Scratch The Top, The Laser Goes out, the list gos on and on.
Personally, from the shots of each system, I also like the way the Nintendo DS looks.. What do you think the DS stands for anyways? Dream System maybe? We will soon see. It should be out sometime this year, maybe Christmas? Lord, Ill have to preorder one from Japan. Another thing I like is apperently the Nintendo DS will have the ability to use all past games made for the Gameboy line. That is very nice. Unlike the PSP which will have support for more then likely their own games (of course there is no past system for them to have support for either!), until someone puts a mod chip out for it at least. |

The Nintendo DS does look nifty. I thought Nintendo might have gone nuts when it was first announced, but once I realized that the second screen was touch-sensitive I was interested. The Wi-Fi could be nice too, but I don't know if I'd use it.

I am going 100 percent DS. DS rules! I love it, and I am going to buy it as soon as it comes out, it is going to revolutionize, this is going to be the biggest thing since PONG!
EDIT: Oh, and cartridges, are way better than cd roms. The touch screen is awsome and the graphics are better than the N64 I would also like to say that I think Nintendo is going to dominate the industry in the future, because of all the new games that are coming out, like the new Adult Zelda game, THAT LOOKS SWEET! Horse back riding combat!?!? How cool is that. I love Nintendo and I always will. PSP stands for Piece of [stuff] Portable. EDIT 2: If you have a account at Gamespot.com (its free) you can stream all of the videos about the DS and all of the video games at their site, you should look at them they are sweet. Most of it is from E3(I hope you know what that is). Oh, and you can watch the ENTIRE E3 conference show for Nintendo, Xbox, and Sony. Also there are tons of booth tours. Notice that DS has a lot more games than PSP.... |
Although I am a nintendo fan, and will never like anything else, I just have to point out that more games never definately equals better games.

INOVATION, SAY IT WITH ME INOVATION........... The DS will provide a unique, fun, new, and inovative ways to play games. Instead, of the boring old normal way. |
What makes you say that Garthor? Are you a mayjor in fanboys? I own a PS2 and a Nintendo GameCube, but nintendo came first in my life, and Nintendo will always come first, through hard times and bad. But that dosent mean I'll die for them. They have pulled some pretty screwed up crap that Im pissed about.
Anyways, Id like to ask anyone posting about the Nintendo DS to leave out this FanBoy bull crap, the only thing it will lead to is flames and spam. And while were at it, don't diss other systems, as this was a post about NINTENDO DS, not the Xbox Suxors post (thatll be next week ;) ). |

Actually, you ARE a fanboy, and you are NOT right. In my opinion he's partly right. Microsoft just put a PC in a console box. |
But, XBOX can be used more than just a console, it also doubles as a cheap server, soo...when you get bored of it, just go upload some software onto it and boom - server. =D

Well from a marketing standpoint it's a no brainer. CDs cost next to nothing to make so if you sell the CD games at the same price as catridge games thats one massive profit.
