Heh, I'm afraid I have to agree... it takes MUCH longer to get decent graphics going in 3D than in 2D. Besides, that DarkBasic logo is ugly. ;-)

The DarkBasic logo is gone when you buy the product, at least thats what I have come to understand.

Yeah it goes when you buy it but really the main reason iam not using BYOND anymore is because of bugs and having to DL the cleint just to play it...But now I can actually sell it as a stand alone game and 3d has been my dreams for years..
Yeah I know the BYOND one looks better but thats near the finally version and I made all those icons which isnt hard to do.. and for the 3d version models arnt hard to do the project is going pretty smoothly planning to do it cel shaded or FFXI looks and those pics are very old like about month and a half old ill keep you guys updated about it though but as of now the progress is sorta slow on all the modeling because of Texturing which iam using a trial version of some 3d software which is really good but I need to raise about $300 for..If you would like to help fund just email me at [email protected] with a subject named Donations thanks :D |

What you'v done with the engine seems rather impressive from what I have seen with other games. I have been thinking about teaching myself how to use DarkBasic since I have been a hankering for doing a post apocalyptic shooting game for a while now. Glad to see someone who is really making their dream happen, and good luck.

Heh, very true. Unless you just take a single-direction image and rotate it at runtime... but that's a little slow. Just a little. =P
