GMAIL is soooo cool. I just got finished uploading (with other programs) all my e-mails for the past year and a half, and it only took 2% of my account :D
The layout is dandy, and it's FAST, too! Puts hotmail to shame. :P

enjoy all your emails being viewed, scanned, and stored in a database for use by vendors, spammers, and government officials! Since that is what you agreed to when you got the account.
gmail is nice, but the blatant invasion of privacy is not. |

I dont really care about it, I dont say much that could get me in trouble over piracy or somthing like that on the internet(not that I do that kind of stuff :P). And if I ws going to say somthing like that it would be with a IP to IP chat program I have |

ah, but you don't have to do anything bad to attract the spam - that's why the storage is so high! :p
hope you enjoy your mortgage enlarged, and your private parts re-financed! :D |

Yeah, that's got me a little creeped out. I mean if everything works out with gmail the chances are a bunch of other places will jump on the wagon, and the way internet fads go it'll be a month before finding something that doesn't work like gmail will be impossible. [I'm still not that clear on what gmail is doing, but from what I can gather it's "well give you a great e-mail account if you agree to let us watch everything you do, and give it to whoever wants it". Although the way they've built up demand for it is very smooth.] |

yahoo's mail is smaller, but less spam, easily. Who needs more than 100MB?

Please, please! Me! Invite Me! I want one! If you invite me, I'll invite someone else. I'll "pay it forward"... except I won't get killed by little punk 7th graders at the end of the day... Please!
[email protected] I tried GmailSwap.com, but no one responded. I also tried a few "Guess the right number and you win Gmail". I got one of them, beteween 0 and 5000, but I never got an invite! |

Not proven.
People just assume. I have Gmail, along with countless others, and no "OMG-SO-MUCH-SPAM" reports have been filed from us. In fact, I have received no SPAM from Google. Opposed to Hotmail, where I would receive 2-3 ad messages daily. ~Kujila |

If it was a person pointing and laughing then I'd be upset. As it is, I don't mind. As a matter of fact, being honest about the scanning is a plus. Email has never been private. If I was worried then I'd use encryption (which would still be broken if an official wanted something).
Ads that more closely resemble my interests would be fantastic. (I don't remember, but they might even be text.) Personally, I'm not looking for Christian singles near me. |

ah, but does the fine-print read something like "by using gmail, you agree ('express permission' in other words) to let us do just that" ??
