In New York, there will be LEGAL fireworks set off at the statue of liberty and two other places. All the illegal fireworks are going off right now...

Wow, fun, first at about nine we started lighting of fireworks in a school yard till a little past ten. Than we later went and bought more fireworks and just chilled out and lit them off in the street, later we just sat out in the yard in an enclosement of chairs and drank a few beers. Our original plan was to stay out till it gets light at about 5:30AM but we only survived till 3:30AM.
Overall this July 4th beats all, plus the fact that I'm moving to Germany in a few days I went all out. There was also the idea of going to IHOP for breakfast at 3:00AM but the nearest one is two hours away. |

Hah. Fireworks are illegal here in new york. I go down to Pennsylvania, pick up a hell of a lot of fireworks [warehouses of fireworks!] for about 200-300 dollars [you can buy them at age 14] and then have so much fun. Bottle rockets are awesome, helicopters are awesome, sparklers are cool. Im not a big fan of the large pops. They sound cool, but a large sphere of lights isn't that cool. So, happy belated 4th of July! Yay Illegality!

In indiana anything that makes noise or flies is illegal. Basically, sparklers are legal and nothing more.
