For any of you who want to see what it looks like, I have a ton of screenshots. Most of them the gama is weird, but if your gama is fine with them, you will see some nice detail. Unfortunatly it saves the screenshots as tiny images, about half of that of the real size, really annoying, lots of detail loss. http://www.scoobsoft.com/FFXI/

Play'd it for a while but got kinda boring so i went back to Dark age of camelot. Nice screenshots by the way.

I also have it, but I havn't played it in a couple of days. Training gets really boring after playing it like 24/7 for a couple weeks. How can people be so dedicated to get to like level 60? beats me, I'm only at 13.

I am currently level 24 Redmage. I plan on getting level 30 in the next two days with some speed leveling. Why? Well, at level 30 you can take some new kinds of classes, so me and some friend are going to have a static party with me as soon as I get my new class. I have many friends from about 30-60, I do a lot of quests with them, good money. 60 really isnt that hard, but you do have to dedicate a lot of time to it. I have a friend who is level 47, I know him in real life. In about 4 months he has had 30 days+ of playtime. Someone was talking about someone who went up to level 70 in 30 days, that is crazy, but not impossible. I goof off so much in that game, I have about 9 days playtime, on that char.

Sounds like the game is based way too much on how long you play for. Do you ever do anything but level? =P | |
Lots of things, you can fish, farm, mine, havervest, hunt(There are many boss like monsters that give really, really good drops), and much more. The game has nothing to do with online time, like I said, I have a friend, level 47, 30 days, someone else, level 60, 30 days. Big gap, those gaps are in time spent doing other things, mining, and hunting, as well as helping others for him.

I plan to get this asap along with my new computer towards the end of the month...A thing that's been pestering my brain. I hear that Japanese players as well as american players are on the same servers, and can play with eachother. How well and/or easy is it to interact with them? Communication mainly.

It's really easy, actually. There are a ton of pre-set phrases and words that are automatically translated. Example... You press tab while in the chat box, and it will come up with a list of categories (Game terms, greetings, spells, skills, general, etc), and inside each are some words. Lets say you pick, "Do you have it?" and send it. English players will see "{Do you have it?}" while Japanese players will see that phrase in Japanese. Hope I explained that good enough. ~>Volte | |
