"A rip is a rip is a rip. It's not welcome on the hub if it's a rip."
Ok, A rip is not aloud on the Hub, Then please explain to me why, when you type in "DragonBall Z" you get over 15 pages of Rips. Yet you guys decide to Delete Hub entries of games that are pretty popular and have modified the "Zeta" code so you can barely notice it uses it. I know some Games you can easily tell, But still Why would you deleted those hubs of those games when you have over 15 pages of Rips just sitting there, and Im sure theres more then the 15 pages if you use other Keywords.

A "rip" as defined here is not just "rip off" as in "any game based on an existing property", but as in "this game's source was ripped right from another game"...
If a game is using unauthorized sources (not just code files, but icons as well) from another game, then it is classified as a rip, and is removed... It doesn't matter how many alterations have been made (although if you make enough, then ultimately no one will be able to tell)... Not every game in those "15 pages of rips" is actually a rip... There are at least some of them that are based on legitimate, original source code... However, there definitely are still plenty of rips out there... But don't think that they're being ignored... The mods just haven't gotten to them all yet... It's a big job, and it'll take a long time to finish... And now here's the big problem: the only hub entries that really can be discovered, and deleted are the established ones...the ones that have been up a while... Half of the rips that show up in the list on a day-to-day basis were really just added that day (or close to it)... There's no way for the mods to keep a constant, 24-hour watch on every incoming hub entry... So the ones that get made out of the blue on a daily basis can't be dealt with until later... |
The hub moderation staff only has so much time on their hands. Although they try, hey can't get everything moderated all the time. Please stop complaining just because your favourite game was found out, and some you don't like haven't been discovered and dealt with yet.
