Rawr. Just posting here in hopes that someone'll see this and post the chatters address and port for me. I have it back at home, but unfortunately I'm not there right now, and can't run DS on this machine. Thankee in advance.

You're using a colon instead of a space.

After i connect
(Hit enter to continue.) after i see all that how do i join rooms/chat etc through telnet(Note: i havent connected to chatters in telnet ever.) |

/join roomname
Most commands like that don't work in telnet, not sure why, they just don't. Chatters is not made for telnet, so it isn't very highly supported. Perhaps overtime telnet will be better supported by both byond and chatters, but man other things are still in development, so telnet takes a back seat. |

i dont even get a command line it just sits there with a blinking cursor and i cant type, i can send myself /tells through ds but i cant respond in telnet.

you may want to check to make sure you echo all your typing back to yourself (should be an option there for that).
i would also suggest trying a better telnet client. Putty is a bit more robust than the default Windoze one. search google for 'free telnet client' or 'putty download' |

PuTTy is nice for shell editing and such, but if you want to play a game / chat with a telnet console, I really suggest ones designed for it. zMUD, gMUD, MUSH Client, MUD Master 2000 are all freely available (some as outdated versions, like zMUD) on the web.

You were only banned from my room for being an ass. Join your own room, and invite people. If they wanna talk to you, they'll join.

One telnet clinet I've used for a year or two is Pueblo/UE. It has a rather nice interface, simple as well, and is easily editted to your needs. Not as robust as some of those out there, but it looks nice and runs perfectly fine.

Thanks im going to use what Syier suggested(the others i tried were pure crap.)oh and joe as for me being an ass i told you rabbits and there young live in burrows not nests and i proved your theory to be false you banned me thats all i have to say this thread isnt usefull anymore and *may* degrade into a flame war thanks for all your help everyone.

If, for some reason this /does/ turn in to a flame war, I would ask kindly for it to be closed. To those of us, including me, who needed help having to do with the topic, we have recieved our information. Thankee kindly. Rawr.

I've had rabbits build "nests" of a sort in my backyard. We have to dodge them with the lawn mower till the babies grow up and leave. Its above ground, and made with dry grass and (seeing as we have 2 pine trees in my back yard)pine needles. Nyah.
