There arn't enough icon makers on byond!
When i wanna make a game, NEVER i can find a iconmaker, always takes me longer then 2/3 weeks...
also look @ clasified ads, all icon makers requests, 1/10 gets lucky!

(i dont think this belongs in clasifeid ads, i dont think so though)
In 2-3 weeks you could learn how to become a pixel artist yourself. It isn't as hard as it looks.

Find a tutorial on pixel art.

well i tried...

but it aint ez!!
you've gotta have a project going and show dedication to that project, the only way you'll get anyone decent enough to do graphics for you is if you actually stick by a project and try to finish it.

Yes, it is. It only takes 2-3 weeks to learn how to be good, as long as you find the right teacher/tutorial.

You HAVE to find a tutorial/teacher, because if you don't, everything that you could easily learn otherwise will take months to learn each subject in pixel art.

But once your taught how to do it, it is so easy. Practice isn't what progresses you in pixel art. it is learning techniques that progresses you to the next level.

I have been hearing that term (pixel art) thrown around lately. What exactly do you people mean by it?
maybey you are trying to make games that no one likes when im bored and im not iconing for anyone ill make dbz icons for ppl

Pixels are what all computer graphics are made of. A pixel artist learns how to make things look realistic when the picture is really just blocks of color that are really small.

No offence, but you need to speak a little more clearly. I couldn't understand what that sentence meant at all.
My usual responce to things like this is to make your own graphics to start with, and build your game with those. If you have a good game, poor graphics won't make it any less fun. Once you've got a good game established, there's bound to be some decent artists who like your game and would be interested in improving the look.

As a graphics artist, I don't ever plan on replying to a classified ad that basically says "I'm making a game, who wants to make graphics for it?" If I'm going to make graphics, I'm only going to make graphics for something I like, or which promises to be something I'd like in the future. (Though "something I like" includes lots of money.)

Kunarks right when I first drew pixel art I stunk! Then after a couple tutorials I wasn't that bad. Sure I still stink but its alot better than when I started.

I don't know Practice makes perfect as they say and I think just thinking of somthing to make and then making it could help. But yes if you look you will find techniques that can help. I only spent a max of 1 months time studying pixel art so it should only take you that much or less to learn it as well as I have.

I ment good ones that he could suggest for me.

Well I am positive there are some good tutorials in the search results, if you would actually sit down and look through them.

I'm sure there are but i'd rather go with what he says.

SD, I can offer you a couple tips from experience. Take them for whatever they're worth:

1) If you're writing a game, and it turns out to be a really good game, you will have no shortage of people willing to help you with icons. Make simple icons as placeholders while you program, and if people like the game, you'll have no problem finding artists who will volunteer their talents for nothing more than a credit in the game ("some icons contributed by X").

2) Drawing good pictures in a 32x32 grid is tough, but it's a skill that can be learned -- part of it is trial and error, and part of it is looking at existing icons you admire and figuring out what makes them special. If you do decide to try your hand at icon art, and you do a lot of it, you WILL get better at it. The icons I draw today are orders of magnitude better than those I drew when I was starting out a few years ago. It just takes patience and attention.

Good luck!

I know what pixels, but unless you mean something special by pixel artist I don't understand why you are saying it. If I want someone to draw me a picture with pencil and paper, I don't go around asking "Are you a paper artist?"

I thought perhaps there was some signifigance to the term.
In response to Loduwijk
It normaly refers to an artist who works with 32x32 sized icons. This size can vary, but it is all basicly the same. Not that hard to think about. Although "computer-tile artists" just doesn't sound as good.
