That is to say, people logging onto a multiplayer game, basically saying, "Oh, nobody's here," and logging out. It boggles the heck out of me every time.

It boggles me too, which is why I try to refrain from doing it often... However, I -do- do it sometimes.

Yeah. Boggling. That action of leaving is the exact reason why nobody's ever in such games. If they'd stay in for 2 minutes, surely swarms of rodents would leak in to accompany them.
