I do live in the US and the sign does say "Elementary School". When I am talking about grades PK - 5th I do say "Elementary School", not "Grammar School". But when I have read some of the papers my little cousin brings back from his 4th grade class, they sometimes call it "Grammar School". I have no idea why, maybe because they learn grammar through the entire PK - 5th grade. That's my theory (well, I would not really call it a theory)....

Wow, that's seriously like the coolest Elementary School name ever....

Thank you for advancing my point kujila. Erm, I forgot the other guys name, but I know it was dbz related, so dbz guy: Theyre not called grammar schools just because a little paper mentioned them as such, theyre called whatever is on the front. Now if this were the different between jrhigh/middle school, it can be either, but I seriously doubt the validity of your statement.

It would be if it were all X's....that would be cool! :P

It's not really that hard to spell out my name when it is right infront of you. Just look two inches down from the post, not there, nope, alittle down, yep! That's it. There ya' go.

I never said it 'was' called "Grammar School". I said it is what the piece of paper said. So my 'opinion' was that it can be either. I have heard many, many people call it "Grammar School", but I prefer to call it "Elementary School". You are saying that if a sign says "Elementary School" and if a piece of paper (written by the staff) says "Grammar School" then the sign is always right?

Hey, lookie there, I was replying to Kujila, not you. Notice that when you reply to me, Kujila's name is nowhere to be found?

And yes, I'm saying the sign is always right.
In response to Kujila
Well, all I have to say is, the X team would automatically win the game on account of having the coolest name ever....
In response to Jotdaniel
Well, then I guess the sign and the piece of paper will have to enter a boxing match, eh? Winner is always right!

I started learning grammar in tenth grade as well, however, I am the top of my class (Even though I'm not perfect at it.).

They REALLY need to teach it in much lower grades than they are, around here anyways. It is a very important skill.

Word's grammar check sucks. =P

Mind you, to be fair, I suspect they all do. Natural language parsing is HARD.

I never use correct grammar because I sound like an idiot when I do, and I sound like an idiot when I don't.

Actualy, it is your parents for not bringing an issue of such importance to the local board of education. If the school system is never told what is wrong, how can they know what is right?

They do need to teach us grammar at a younger age because people are like "You are 15 and youre grammar sucks. What did they teach you in school!" Heh.

If the school you go to supports the class then take Latin. You have to basically learn all the rules for our own language even if you know them already. This is simply for the reason that you have to know the rules to be able to decline the words.
