I just recently (yesterday) bought the new Papa Roach CD. The album is "Getting Away With Murder". Well, the CD works on my stereo and all, but for some odd reason, it does not work on my disc man. It spins and all and when the CD is loading it says "CD Walkman" on the screen thing then it goes to the tracks which you can change to listen to what song you want, ETC. Well, when I put this CD in it says "CD Walkman" (the CD is spinning as well [look Garthor! I spaced 'as well' =P]) and it just stays at "CD Walkman". It does not switch to the tracks or anything. Does anyone know what the problem is?
(To be honest, some CDs that have worked on my disc man before had this problem too even after they worked. But then for some reason it started working again [I think I either did something or it worked automatically, I forget]. Also, my disc man is a few years old but it is in a pretty descent condition and it is a very nice discman as well [look Garthor! I spaced it again]! Well, if anyone has any suggestions please respond quickly. If I do not get a response I will just have to buy a new disc man today and I do not want to waste the money if someone has the answer. Thanks).

I am talking about a music CD I bought from Best Buy. The band, Papa Roach, the album, "Getting Away With Murder". And it is not working in my disc man (sorry if I was not clear on my post).

I wasn't being a wise-ass, I have never heard of this "disc-man" thingy before. >:-/
Well, from what you described, this happened on other CD's, and then they started working at a later time. Sounds like faulty hardware to me, but I'm no mobile CD-player expert :) ~Kujila |

It's actually a Sony Car Ready Walkman G-Protection CD-R/RW CD Walkman D-CJ506CK, which is a very, very nice dis"k" man. =P

If it *is* copyright protection, then rip the CD to mp3's and burn an MP3 CD for your 'disc-man' :)

I thought about doing that, but I always wanted to get a new disk man anyways. So it is like killing two birds with one stone (I get a new disk man and a working CD).
