You said "Hispanics" often go into a certain business- saying race defines ability. Saying that a certain race goes into a certain line of business more often is not defining race ability and has nothing to do with racism. I could go on and on with similar statements without being the slightest bit racist as it has nothing to do with discrimination, prejudice, or any other similar thing. (and secondly, I didn't say stereotyping was racist, but stereotyping is just as bad as being racist, and often, being racist is stereotyping) Stating that a certain group of people usually do one thing more than another group is not just as bad as being racist, and in fact is not bad at all. Lower age people work at fast food restaraunts more than middle-aged people. More males are construction workers than females. A higher percentage of Japanese work with electronics than Africans. More USA citizens have left Earth's atmosphere than Chinese. Depending on where you live, it is safe to assume you are either light-skinned or dark before meeting you. If you are a European, you are probably liberal. There are a bunch of observances I have made, and not a single one of them is a bad thing to say or makes me racist in any way. If I were him, I would not have even bothered adding in "I'm not racist, it's just that people in the profession are your race" since it is not logical to assume someone is racist for making such a comment. People who get on everyone elses case about racism are usually themselves the racist ones. Many Africans who complain about racism are the racist ones, many females who complain about sexism are the sexist ones, and so on. Racism exists, but it is not safe to assume that every person who makes a distinction is racist. |

Anyway, it *is* safe to assume that anyone who *does* start a sentence with "I'm not Racist (but)..." is, in fact, a racist. |

Jobless, but I have many talents that should atleast get me somewhere.. Right now im just needing to get a small pay job while I decide what I want as a carrer.
I can cook some mean dishs(However I would most likely recomend not eating anything I fix if you are a senior citizen or have heart trouble) A field in computors is not an option for me. I can slightly see myself in polotics, I have a strong conservative view and don't have a problem voicing my opinion, in wich case I could probally be newscaster. I can see myself acting or in a professional sport. I can see myself in the raslin,"Wrestling",buisness so perhaps I will enter myself into a wrestling school and get the experience, from there I would know if thats what I want to do or not. Until then, I will probally sign up for service and be shipped to some [stinky] hole. Im sure that would give me plenty of time to think if im not doging bullets. Im open to many fields.. Trying all of them will be too costly so I will just have to get lucky and enter one to see if I like it. Until then, waiting for Wal*Mart and Sears to call me. |
