Why would it need a crowbar when the Master Chief, without the aid of his suit has the physical strength of five men, while the suit amplifies this ammount by ten?

Please point out to me which official law states that Xbox mods are illegal. The only thing illegal about them, for example, is if you were to mod it and put illegal software into it like roms of which you don't own the official software for.

Actully the orginal XBox mods used some illegal software for them to work, which no one had the licesen for except M$. So bascilly using a Mod Chip was stealing software anyways.
Now there is a new line of Xbox Modchips coming off the line that uses some sort of Linix Bios instead of the illegal one. So if you have one of the older (and better ones) mod chips like I do, technially it is illegal for you to have it. |

That doesn't make any sense, and if it is correct then it is only a technicality. I mean if you purchased the mod chip from a vendor who had the rights to sell it, then it is not illegal.

Heh, it makes perfect sense if you think about it. The orginal mod chips used a illegal Bios which was used from the Developers Kit you had to order through M$. A few people leaked what they had, and managed to make a number of very, VERY good emulators, PC port games and mod chips. These mod chips went up for sale. And just owning them could get someone in trouble. But that dosent stop anyone does it? And the vendors techainlly did not have the right to sell the first generation of mod chips. But that never stops anyone. People started to get fined for having these first generation mod chips, so a few developers made some with a Linux Bios, not as good, but still gets the job done. Think of it like this.. People smoke pot, people buy pot. They have to get it from somewhere, even if it is illegal. Theres a market for it, so people sell pot. |

Well no duh then, that is why I specified this, I mean if you purchased the mod chip from a vendor who had the rights to sell it, then it is not illegal. Think of it like this.. People smoke pot, people buy pot. They have to get it from somewhere, even if it is illegal. Theres a market for it, so people sell pot. Bad analogy. It would work better if you said something like, people with glaucoma can be subscribed marijuana which is manufactered by the government for them, and they are legally entitled to smoke it. Then there are people who illegally grow/smuggle marijuana into the U.S. where it is outlawed without medical reasons, and these people sell it to other people illegally. Now like the mod chip, only some forms of marijuana are bad since they are obtained illegally and are in the posession of someone who is not entitled to the marijuana, just like the mod chips which are obtained illegally in the possession of someone who is not allowed to use it. |
