Fruity Loops.

I use "Sound Recorder" :P
If there is something better, boy would I like to see it since I like my games to be chuck-full of sound-effects. My latest game, in fact, the sound effects are getting so hard to make I'm being forced to try to find them on the internet. |
Anvil Studio for editing MIDIs (it's not great, but it's free) and Audacity if I need to edit WAVs/MP3s/whatever.

What about If I want to make my own?

Does anyone know of any programs that would allow me to take the vocals off of a track and just let the instrumental play?

I'm not quite sure this is possible with something like an mp3 or wav... I guess it would be possible to use an equilizer to possibly do it, as long as the voice doesn't produce the same frequencies as the instruments, I guess.

look up 'voice removers' - i know winamp had a vocal remover as a plugin at one time for mp3s so i am sure there are programs out there to do it. basically vocal removers take out certain frequencies assoctiated with vocal sounds.

Anvil Studio is pretty good, although I don't really do sound.
