If you have finished halo2 which I have you can see there will be a halo3 and also they might be working on a movie. I don't know if there was another thread about this but I havn't been on in awhile and I'm back.
In halo3 there are rumors saying master chief will die saving humanity.

why would they completely end the series in a cliffhanger? to intentionally not satisfy players with a good ending? or to make a continuation of the series possible?

I heard there will be the final halo on the Xbox 2.
Don't believe anything until you really know though. |

A game like Halo, there has to be a third sequal. And in that sequal, the Master Cheif has to die, has too. Every great movie/game has their favorite character die, it's a great way to end it (even though it's sad, ugh, I can't explain it)!

Isnt there 3 halo books?
And the game follows them? If yes to both of my questions, then there has to be a 3rd game |
I bet you believe there will be a second Kung Pow too, don't you?
Also note I wasn't the one who said there wasn't going to be another Halo. I said it wasn't going to be on the playstation 3, as someone *cough* claimed. |

I wouldn't mind it, so long as they did it like in te Crow. That was a good way to kill the antagonist.

There is no Halo III. Stupid Bungee said No. It's called a cliff hanger ending not a OH OH LOOKOUT ANOTHER GAME COMING SOON. Hmm. So they have a game series that's gotten great reviews and is their company's biggest claim to fame, and the latest installment ends in a cliffhanger. Yeah, I can't imagine why anyone would expect them to continue the franchise... :) |
I hate how the game ended with a passion! I fell so deprived. I had no idea that the game was ending, it just seemed like another movie sequence interlude, but it turned out to be the damn credits. I couldn't believe that garbage. Whoever the hell made that damn game owes it to me to make it a trilogy.

Halo 3 is already in the works.
Edit: You gotta be pretty stupid not to think there won't be another Halo. Come on Master cheif is like I'm back to finish the war. Nuff said. |

Gah!?
What's a "sequal"? Anyway, I'm pretty certain that another Halo would be on a future console, in terms of graphics and processing (which is usually what FPS's go for), Halo's exhausted everything out right now. |

Not true. =P Halo still doesn't max out the XBox.

You are so wrong its not even true about halo III being in the works since they never announced it. While I'm generally the monarch of "Where's the trail?" type questions when somebody says something is in the works, the fact that they haven't announced it doesn't mean it's not in the works. They wouldn't have to assemble a new design team or a new just about anything if they planned on making Halo III a direct continuation of where Halo II left off. Yeah, there's some quotes from the developers saying there won't be Halo III and if you go back a ways you'll find quotes from them saying there will be one and so on. The key point here is, it's not set in stone. If somebody says in an interview that they probably won't make a third game, the justice department doesn't put them under surveillance to make sure they keep their word. :P However They did announce they are continuing the halo trilogy as a book series. Uh... if there's no Halo III in the works, then it's not a trilogy, is it? [EDIT] Also, the opposite of the "buzz" rules I've posted for movies could very well come into play here... knowing the way rumors spread in the gamer crowd, this could all be an elaborate experiment in viral marketing. Don't announce an impending release, then bury an easter egg (or even the rumor of an easter egg) which hints at its existence, and see what happens. |

Halo's graphics are decent enough for a console, but they have in no way by far beaten other FPS games on the market. Go try some Half-Life 2 or Doom 3, both of those games have Halo 2 beat on graphics.

Bungie is huge into the viral marketing thing, as well. The whole thing with Majestica and later Halo/ilovebees.com shows that you should expect them to try something snarky.

He meant the Halo Book Trilogy.
There are currently three books about Halo: The Fall of Reach The Flood First Strike What he meant to say was: continue the Halo book trilogy, and not continue the Halo Trilogy as a book series. |
