Alright thanks, also did you do any of that online learning stuff? Like they have courses online that cost money. Sort of like CompTia and the other companies that do that sort of thing? Or did you just study in books.
Another thing, I think you mentioned before you are taking Network +, when I was on the phone with someone I think from CompTia they said Network +, and Server + were both good courses after A+. |

Now back on topic.. I shall try to remove my Wireless NIC and put the old NIC back in and see if that does anything. It's 1 AM EST Time so i shall try this tomorrow. ~>Jiskuha |

if you needed a+ certification to figure out how to check if a card has come loose, you are better off taking this to someone with more experience than you. :p
I would check ebay for windows98 SE CDs... many people have them for sale cheap. (make sure you get a serial number with it). win98se is better than 98 alone, as it provides a lot of fixes and improvements over 98 the least of which is an improved USB and networking support, and drivers database). |

Bah,i wasn't looking to spend any more money today. win98se is better than 98 alone, as it provides a lot of fixes and improvements over 98 the least of which is an improved USB and networking support, and drivers database). Yeah, hence the "Special Edition" =p. ~>Jiskuha |

Why not try transplanting the video card into the other computer?

Doesn't seem bad, but ATI has had a multiDesktop program for a while now and I like it lot more. Pity I have an NVidia video card then. =( I can't be certain, but from ATI's page they seem to be hinting that it only works on certain ATI cards. They're talking about their "HYDRAVISION" thing as a whole rather than just the Multi-Desktop feature, but I wouldn't be surprised if you needed support for the *entire* package to even get Multi-Desktop set up. Oh well. This'll do me for now, at least until I get dual monitors set up. =P |

Okay i got it upgraded to xp(Pirating,Very bad ungh! :( ) Anyways i installed the network card and bam got the blue screen of death!! so now when i restarted the computer my monitor wont work. I tried other monitors as well and it doesnt work. I even tried different computers on the same monitor and it works. Did i knock my video card loose or something? Does anything come up in the BIOS? If so, then i dont see how it could be your video card, maybe its drivers, if not, then its defintly your video card. |

Your video card is broken or your motherboard, or cpu is. Either one of those could stop the computer from showing anything.
