Cpu Overheating. Problem Fixed

-my computer hit 140°F yesterday and almost fried my video card. anyone got any programs (except motherboard moniter)that messure the temperature of your CPU and the Case?

I pulled out some canned air and dusted the thermal thing... and the fan and now the fan is running at 1000 RPM more then it was(old 4113 new 5200 - 5215)

I turned on my computer 10 minutes ago and its raised 26 degrees... i need to get this thing fixed soon... If i dont do anything it slowly lowers. I dont have any fans except on the cpu and on the Graphics card. So could it just be that its continuesly pushing hot air around?

OR take off the sides to your computer to let fresh air in.

My computer is at 127 without me doing anything it hit 145 before my computer shut off yesterday i was playing Rome:total war

I am lol and its at 127... Im gunna get a exaust fan for my computer cause the hot air is just circulation in there with nothing letting it out

Find out what's making it that hot.

I hate when the CPU overheats. I have agiant fan against it with the case open lol. Damn dust bunnies can also mess up the circuits, etc..

Open the case up and leave it open. If it is still overheating then something is wrong beyond just poor ventilation.

I keep the case open on one of my computers, and duest is actually less of a problem than for the computers which are kept closed.

It's a little high (53 Celcius) but nothing too extreme.

Flash your BIOS, my friend had this exact problem and the onboard CPU fan and North Bridge fan were controlled by BIOS. Some kind of problem they hadn't fixed with Athlon 3500+ caused the problem on his PC, and the chance that your problem is the same as his are slim but its worth a try. If you made the computer yourself remount the CPU. If your computer randomly shuts down without starting back up its a good sign the CPU isn't mounted correctly as well.

yes its normal but i was looking it should be at 110 Fahrenheit, 37 Celcius for you people. Its been sitting here for 2 hours and its been steady at 130 with nothing on at all. 53 Celcius

Im running Rome Total war after aporx 10 seconds of starting, its at 131.(55 celcius) its not moving thats pretty cool.

Speedfan lets you adjust, change, and watch your tempatures of all of the fans located on your machine. Just measurement isn't enough.
