Hey, don't knock my workplace! Nah, Mickey D's is NASTY! That grease, and all that stuff. If it wasn't free, I wouldn't eat it.

It's hard to grab a bull by the balls much less to get out of bed when you are so round your neck has been eaten by your body. I take risks, I know I'm going to die, I smoke, I drink soda, eat sugar, meat, fatty food, but I try to keep physically fit so I can take that plunge when it looks like it'll be fun.

I believe good and evil weren't in my vocabulary until you brought it into your post.
You took a lot of what I said out of context. I admit I'm not the most educated person on the planet, but I began with a "thoughts on the movie" and expanded to further arguments after people went off the track of the movie. I'm not against people eating fast food, I'm against people who whore this product onto people claiming total innocence. If I were religious, I'd say every single corporate executive in said corporation is going straight to hell, don't pass go, don't collect $200.00. Of course, I'm not, so that did give me the opportunity to look like I didn't just pass a massive judgement on someone and generalize while acting like I'm better than these people. Secondly, I don't see Cigarettes trying to put on the guise of promoting a healthy lifestyle, and I don't see any of their ads in TV or newspaper, nor do I see any advertisements for a "Marlboro happy pack", or a "Newport Playplace". The toys lure children into loving the food. Yes, it's still their fault for cramming the food in their mouth, and yes, they are weak for becoming chemically dependent on this, however, from a young age, they have been programmed to like this kind of food. If this person had grown up without it, chances are they probably wouldn't have such good memories, and would see the food for what it really is: crappy. Oh, and if you say that food can't be addictive, you are beyond wrong. Addiction is only a chemical response to the chemicals your body creates to reward you for doing something that it wants and needs. Sex, eating, creating an adrenaline rush, and many other simple activities feel good because our body's response to them is a chemical one. Ever wonder why sadists and masochists do it? Because their body responds differently than most peoples'. As for your statement about people trying to be fat, you took me completely out of context. I meant by their own fault. Nobody intentionally tries to be fat, it just happens because of habits and laziness, sometimes even by circumstance. I've had a lot of friends with chemical imbalances that cause them to be large, others with a family that tends to be rather large, genetically predisposing them to being heavy set. These can be prevented, but in the case of a malfunctioning thyroid, there is nothing you can do unless it is cut out and you are given horomone replacement therapy, or if it isn't extreme and you take some medicine that increases your metabolism. |

Congratulations shades! You are the only person that actually answered my question!
Surprisingly, you are the only person that actually mentioned your straightforward opinion of the movie! My work is done here! |

You just have to know the right angle to come at the bull. And I'm not round, by any measure. In fact, I'm probably one of the thinnest guys here. My metabolism is through the roof. Still, I don't shy away from life's little dangers. If I like it, and it doesn't kill me, I can live long enough to like it again. Why make myself miserable by worrying about the little things? Sure, it all adds up in the end, but so does everything else. If cigarettes don't kill me, I'm sure I can find something that will. Might as well have fun while I'm at it.

If you say something, you stand by it. I never said you were against people who eat fast food anyways, I said exactly what you said you are. You are against a company that is fair game in the buisness world as any other, and thats the problem. You tell people not to be responsible for what they do, when they should be responsible for it. What I believe you call "whoring" is called advertising, and last time I checked you could choose to listen to an ad or ignore it. If I were religious, I'd say every single corporate executive in said corporation is going straight to hell, don't pass go, don't collect $200.00. I never once said you were religious. Of course, I'm not, so that did give me the opportunity to look like I didn't just pass a massive judgement on someone and generalize while acting like I'm better than these people. No, you did do that. You specifically stated that people who get fat off of fast food products are stupid, except for your friend's dad. You can look back on it yourself. Why? It is because people got a lot of advertising for cigarette rights banned since they felt that people weren't responsible enough to handle cigarettes. Also, cigarettes are not sold to everyone, McDonalds food is. Last time I checked you don't have to be 18 to order a big mack. I never said they were weak for becoming "chemically dependent", I said that they were irresponsible for continually eating this stuff. They don't build a dependency on it, really, they just condition themselves into eating it, and they willingly do this. If you can't ignore "good memories" to save your life, then that is your fault. I never said food cannot be addictive, please stop assuming things, and yes I do realise that you said if, but still. A lot of times though addiction can become entirely mental. You believe you need it so you do it, it doesn't have a lot do with chemicals in those circumstances. Also, just because you enjoy something doesn't mean you are addicted to it. Addiction is when you feel you HAVE to have it, not when you just feel like having it. I'm getting the idea that you have no idea about what taking a statement out of its context means. I wasn't misleading readers by removing parts of what you said in the quote, it was all there, I simply commented on what you said. I, in fact, misinterpreted what you said, there is a difference. When you say someone is trying to be fat, it is easily taken as you saying that a person is intentionally eating to become fat, if you don't want someone to think thats what you said, then figure out a better way to phrase it. This has nothing to do with genetics though, we are talking about becoming unhealthy or overweight from eating fast food, specifically, and so displaying your knowledge of genetics is pointless. What I'm simply trying to get you to realise is that you can't just take the blame off of a person and blame it on a company for what happened. McDonalds did not make a person fat, the person made themself fat by eating there. They made the concious decision to eat there on multiple accounts, and in almost all cases knowing that it would make them unhealthy. Therefore they were directly responsible for becoming unhealthy. McDonalds did not sit there and force them to eat their food, they advertised sure, but in America that isn't exactly illegal. Plus a lot of companies put additives and what not into their food to get people to want it more, but thats where a person's self control has to settle. If a person is on the brink of a heart attack and is ready to have one just so they could have a few minutes of pleasure snacking on an unhealthy piece of food, then they really need to sit back and rethink their priorities. They shouldn't be told they are helpless and that its not their fault they eat McDonalds, because the truth is, it is their fault. |

Look guys: Here's the secret to staying thin and eating EVERYTHING.
I'm thin- and yet two weeks ago, I ate 13 orange sugar/chemical bars in about half an hour. Since then I haven't stopped eating chocolate and I've just finished all the sweets that I got for Christmas, and the stuff that my brother got (he gives it to me). I've also been snacking lots, eating lots of turkey. MY SECRET: I TWITCH. 1.While programming/using the computer, I tense and un-tense my thighs, "abs", and arms. I move a lot, all the time- getting rid of energy. 2.I also play F-ZERO GX, for Gamecube. It caused me to twitch so much on the master difficulty setting that I lost a stone! 3.These last few days, I've been going to sleep at 7 AM and getting up at 6 PM. Sure, I'm pale skinned- but it means that I eat at one moment and starve the rest of the day. TAKE MY STEPS TOWARDS HEALTHY LIVING AND BE LIKE ME! GET A GIRLFRIEND! IMPRESS THE P.E. TEACHERS! IMPROVE YOUR LIFE! |

I enjoy my fastfood. I could live without it, but due to my metabolism being extra fast, I eat often and fastfood is fatty and can usually be obtained a lot faster than cooking something. I'm also skinny, and in good health but I do eat fastfood quite often. I tend to lose weight fast and fastfood helps me keep it up. Yes, fastfood can be bad for you if you eat it for every meal, but having it afew times a week, if that, isn't going to kill you. And what's this with McDonald's having addictive cheese or something? Personally, I don't find McDonald's cheese to be that good? I don't know, maybe that's just me or something. Oh, and I remember someone posting about staying away from spit due to the diseases and such that can be gotten from it, well, I guess I need to stop making out with anyone because I sure don't want a disease! -_- I love my fastfood, especialy the Wendy's Wild Mountain Spicy Chicken Sandwich...mmmm chicken. That's all for me though, I hear Wendy's calling me.

Gluttney in general isn't good. People just like to blame a certian figure because its easier to do then blame themselfs.
You could make a movie like this almost out of anything. By Just drinking nothing but coke everyday, or beer, or even KoolAide. Hell, you might even be able to find something healthy to eat, and eat nothing but that and even get sick.
Supersize me Didn't impress.
