A picture of a CT defusing the C4. The terroist is just there to give the screen more detail. This is actual size. Each player's icon is 4 icons tall.
Ooooh, pretty. Fatten out the legs ever so slightly, I think, though.
That's about...ugly. Nice to see someone using multi-tiled icons though. Lol.
Cool!

Only other thought I have is that the feet and legs look wierd for the bodies.

As you see i aimed at simplicity, not complexity. Thanks for your comment though. :)

Yes yes, I understand. But as others stated, the player icons do look somewhat deformed in areas, that's what I was trying to get at.

I agree. I found these 8-bit CS sprites somewhere, and saved them. Perfect for a game. I was using converted down (36x36) REAL CS sprites and they looked yucky. But these fit perfect. ;)

The game will use the actual CS sounds, so it will be pretty cool. I have all the weapon sounds on my computer now in a folder.

I agree with that, too. I thought you were meaning the surrounding areas. The icons were meant to be 18 bit, so i'm keeping to it.

18bit? That's an intesting format. Pictures in general are usually one of 8, 16, 24, or 32 bit. BYOND's .dmi files are 8bit themselves. ;-)
Cool! The only problem I forsee is that you can't see very far at all on that screen, making it pretty hard to shoot... or do you move the screen around when people are aiming guns?

The Screen will be bigger. The AWM (Not AWP, Artic War Magnum, do you see a P?), SCOUT, and the other snipers will have zoom ability.
That's awesome.

Like some others said, the legs from the side don't look so great. From the front look fine. The feet from the front though, make them look more like a front view, not an aerial view.

I think 1x2 icons would be more practical for a shooting game... Looks like you already have a very large screen.
Looks cool. How do you keep the game running smoothely with lots of people? I assume reaction time plays a large part in the game. I suppose you could limit it to 2-8 player games.

Arctic Warfare Police. AWP.</a href>
I think I have a solution to screen size problems & it will make it more realistic.

Ever play murder mansion? well the view in that is you can see far in front of you & 1 tile behind you, if you did this in you CS game, this would allow for farther shooting & people could actually sneak up on you.

Oh yes, take this approach. That's easily the best.

You could also have 'sound' warnings, similar to the traditional 'red bar at side of screen when shot', except blue, to uhh, show if you hear a sound and from which direction it comes from.

Definately a good idea... Just hope you can pull it off without making my brain hurt from dizziness.
