I posted in the Steam forums and my thread was piled over by 20 old replied threads, and noone replied. If anyone has COUNTERSTRIKE 1.6 could you help me with a problem. I have the Logitech Premium Sterio Headset. I hit the voice button in CS and i can hear my voice fine but one thing happens. To other players the voice of me comes on and off. And the bar with my name that shows i'm talking flashes, showing the mic keeps cutting off and on. So they don't get the full message, just the pieces before cuts. The cuts happen every second. So it's V-CUT-V-CUT-V-CUT.

What connection are you using? And are your drivers completely updated?

if you hear youself ok, then probably lots of llag is happening. as mentioned before, upgrade your net connection! :)
to eliminate the possiblity of cable failure, plug into a cassette/stereo system and record yourself while moving the cable about (wiggle it, bend it a little, jiggle the connector a little-bit, etc.)... if you sound ok on the playback (no recognizable dropouts or distortions) then the mic is probably ok. another possibility is that the mic input volume is too high and it 'overdrives' the input causing the breakups in transmission. but if you hear yourself decently (no distortion), then it might be ok... try again with a lower mic volume and shut off any 'mic booster' if you have it. |
