I think PHP is ugly. Useful, but ugly.

PHP is ugly, but that also is variable on the complexicity of your script.

So the generating language is ugly, and its output isn't. Or, if you're of the opposite opinion, the output is ugly but the language used to generate it isn't. That's hardly a paradox! =)

Also, PHP doesn't *have* to be used for HTML; you can write applications in it too. Though I have no idea why you'd WANT to. (Shudder.) Use Python, it rocks. =P

I used to think that too, but then I saw Python. The code looks similar to DM, but there are far less brackets and stuff. Very nice.
