I wonder how much HrH made...Anyone know?

$5 a pop for 100 some-odd subscribers, I'm estimating. Probably only enough to slightly reimburse for the time spent working on it.

I'd rather have fun and get less money than, say, lay bricks.

A big ego? I put all my time and effort into Iccusion and it's projects, I do not think of myself at any point of time in doing so. I think about all the people who will enjoy it and how well it will effect the BYOND community or any other community.

Nobody said Seika was a good game because people donated money... Seika is a good game because the people who play it say it is. Just because you do not like the game doesn't mean it is not a good game. Seems like you're the one with the big ego.

I never said Seika would beat any competition. We do have plans to take the Seika world further, but I nor anybody else in Iccusion ever said such a thing.

Hell, I bet Light Samurai made more than him. It's one thing to make money, it's another to make money and keep your self respect.

Maybe he did make more than "us," but that doesn't matter. We don't do these things for money. The donations went to a new server to host with. Any donation/sub goes to Iccusion and any expenses needed to keep it running. All 23 people on Iccusion, including myself, do what we do voluntarily. We don't think of how much money it will make. We enjoy doing it, so we do it, and plan on doing it no matter the criticism.

It's one thing to assume people said something, it's another to go off telling people they said something they actually didn't.

Liar? ALL YOUR TIME AND EFFORT? I tried to report a critical bug in Seika II and you told me to piss off cuz you were busy...

You hate the competition, you threatened to report a game to byond because it had the same text colors as Seika.

I think I like having the variety of games to work on, because it gives me a variety of things to work on when I am temp-sick of working on another project.

That's why I have like 2 libraries in the making, an action game in the making, a single-player RPG in the making, and a side-scrolling simple game I'm still adding features to, as well as the option to update my old projects :)

I never said such a thing. I most likely told you to use the Bug verb to report it instead of telling me because I would most likely forget it and it's best to have it documented so I can attend to it when I am ready. And I was most likely busy putting my 'time and effort' into the game.

The people who play it say its a good game? I play it, i disagree.

You've played it, you don't play it on a regular basis. If you did, why would you play something you do not like? Besides, I never said "everybody" who plays it says that.

You hate the competition, you threatened to report a game to byond because it had the same text colors as Seika.

This never happened. Besides, I was defending myself about something I never said. I never stated that I did or didn't like competition.

How is another game having the same text, competition?

I have the dedication. I'm one of those stubborn people who will finish something even if I hate it. Unless my stupid comp crashes and I lose everything again...

Some people are crazy when uit comes to competition. Personally, I've never had time to play Seika. I'm either in the forums, making my game, writing my books, doing homework, going to school, sleeping(which I have mainly dropped), relieving some stress in Chatters, MLAAS, or Freeze Tag.
I've meant to play it, it looks cool and I've found all sorts of people here who think its the best thing ever. Also, I heard somewhere you were making a movie? If true, that is dedication and everyone needs to stfu.
In response to Kunark
there are all sorts of "popular" MMORPG's that i found before I cmae across BYOND. I'm sure even some of the (god forgive me for saying so) DBZ games could top them.
In response to Foomer
UI wouldn't be surprized. it's a cool game, and I've though of suscribing. But it is rarely ever up, stupid Nadrew.
In response to Jamesburrow
Interestingly, "stfu" is the most common phrase uttered in the Seika world.

Not by me though honest!
In response to Artekia
yeah. and I need to finish mine.
In response to Elation
well, like I said, i've never been there. I don't even know what its about. I picked it up from my sister, who possibly played there a few times.

what was your game? Most make at least $10\

I agree completely.

However, as kind of an up-bringer to everyone who has made the current MORPGs on BYOND... I don't blame you for making them, I guess, because the stuff you have to look off of (MMORPGs) aren't much better, they are just larger-scale versions, practically.

Some, like me, like to be immersed and taken through a cool story, while other people just like to "Be the strongest of them all" in the environment they are in. I guess it depends on what you like, and what you can stand.

Deus Ex, so cool.

Great story, plus, if you want, you can go round killing all you like.
In response to Jamesburrow
Not when subscriptions are 10 cents :P
In response to Jermman
that has got to be the cheapest I have seen yet for an actual game...

It's not the fact that he is making a movie, it's the fact that he is making a movie about a hack-n-slash MORPG. I haven't read in-depth his story, but if he's a good story teller, I'd ditch the soul caliber-esque MORPG stuff, and make something completely new and original.

I also highly doubt he has the detication to make a movie, and make it interesting and long enough to be worth people's time. It might not even be a bad idea, but an animated movie is still very large scale project, and I doubt it will get done unless him and his team were to stop on everything else and develop the movie.

If he ends up making the movie, then kudos to him, I'll watch it, but I just don't see it happening.

In response to Kunark
Actuall, according to this dude on chatters, they stopped because this guy was ripping everything. They may start back, but who knows. The point is Seika sounds like a cool game and I'm sure its creator has dedication to the game.
