My Father won't let me download byond on his computer, anyone got any Ideas? Should I burn the installer to a cd and write Space Station 13 on it? Please help I'm dieing of... BOREDOM!
Telnet.

Please explain, I'm not good with Telnet, do you need dream seeker to run the game as an exe?
In response to Strawgate
You can use telnet to connect to a BYOND game by entering the IP address and port that the game is being hosted on. Most games don't intelligently support it, though.
why won't he let you install it?? is it the space, or is there something wrong with BYOND that noone besides your dad knows about?

That dosen't matter, it is more then likely that it is his computer, and he dosent want it on there. It dosent matter why, and if he dosent want to let him install byond on it, sure as hell dont do it.

I suggest shelling out $20 and getting a 120MB Quick Drive and just installing it to that, then you can run byond anywhere you take it!

Are you sure it can be install right onto it and run on another computer that it has not been installed to? Most programs cant work that way, I kinda assumed byond was just the same.

There's no difference at ALL between downloading and what you did!

Yes there is... His dad let him do what he did :P

BYOND can do this, you just lose a few things. DM won't work very well, DS seems to run fine without an actual installation.

Maybe he just didn't want Strawgate using his internet connection.

Besides, if it's on a CD then it must be okay, right? Not like that dodgy internet. ;-D

Ack. Parents are always paranoid. My mum went psycho at me because my account on her laptop said "5 emails unread".

I mean seriously.

Sometimes I just wish that anyone over 25 (that said, under 10 too) should have to take a license test to actually come within 20 feet of any computer.

So, whats the difference between downloading "spyware" on a computer and downloading "spyware" on another computer, burning it to CD and installing it to the first computer?

In the second case you waste a CD!
