I'm looking for a good, free program that will allow me to mix different sound files and compile them into one. The reason I need this is to try to compile some songs by myself -- record me playing the rhythm guitar, and come in with lead and such.
Any help is appreciated.

How about C:\Windows\System32\sndrec32.exe? :)

For those interested, I found one that works fairly well. It's called Wavepad. It supports simple editing features, and it's quite nice!
