Yes the world as we know it will end. The world that will emerge will be one with cell phone plans for iguanas and equator inched televisions.

The Y2K bug was a serious problem. Anything that relied on dat would be giving incorrect answers, because the date would roll over to 00. Which could mean 1900, or 2000, or 17300. Air control software, train timetable software, etc. would be giving really bad predictions.

It wasn't going to be what it was hyped up to be, but nothing much happened because people went out and fixed it.

Intentonal or not its still real, if I unintentonaly backed over my girlfriends cat does that make it any less dead?

(Bad that 70's show example)

Almost all of those examples were TERRIBLE things!

Just want some clarification here. Do you mean that they are bad examples, or that they are examples of bad things? I can go into more detail when I know what you mean here.

Ucky! If I knew the world was coming to a feiry end (soon), then my end of the social contract would break down, I'd have nothing to lose. So I'd go round mugging old women and attacking people.

And thats why you would either reincarnate lower on the wheel or go to hell. Or probably just get shot. So play nice, even if you don't care someone does.
Wouldn't be the first doomsday prediction that just didn't go as planned.

I meant "real" as in "intentional". Getting freaked out by secret bible codes *that aren't real codes* is silly.

Terrible things, not bad examples. Anyway, c'mon, just ask Xooxer whether the Bible is a worthwhile book to read or not.

Reincarnation. The optimist's view. Get over it, you're going to die and rot, that's all that will happen. ( :P )

Or probably just get shot. So play nice, even if you don't care someone does.

No? :P

Except for the fact that Atheists don't have a belief in hating other religions, its just what a lot of atheists do.

I know. And thank you, I like writing horible stuff on message boards, it leads to intersting replies.

Actually, I used to be Atheist, and I announced it and all 1,200 people at my school found out.
Anyway, I am in no way Christian. Christians are hypocrites and I tend to not associate with a lot of them. I am currently pure Pagan and even though I have some friends that are a mix, I am not and never will be anything related to Christianity. I used to be Catholic, but thats a different story entirely.
And, like i said, I do not believe in God, I believe in the Goddess.

There ya go discriminating again. I am a Christian, and I find that offensive. Just because some Christians are hypocrites dosen't give you the right to generalize like that.

You need to learn some facts about life, James. Generalization is NOT a good thing. You did something like this when you were talking about marines or army people or whatever(>_>).

I watched this show the other day on the history channel called the bible code something and it started out real cool there were true things in there they showed how they found the code and how they found the code was the circled one letter every ten letters and then it spelled a sentence.... some of the sentences said "Arabian plane hit twin towers, many people die. another said "Saddam captured they humilate him" and "muhamand sniper kills people"..... and they went on and on saying stuff like that then at the end of the show they always got to get you worried and they said they searched "the end of the world" and found this "2012, asteroid hits earth everyone dies......end of the world" and the show ended and now every night i cant sleep im thinking is it really going to end that year? i shake all night i can never get any sleep at all its just strange.... you know what im saying if this is true then i can never grow up be a spriter or programmer or anything like that.......... i can never live the life my parents did....... please reply to this topic i need all the help on how to get this out of my mind and i need if you think this is false and why.... im shaking now even writing this.

I was watching that show also. Well check this out. They found events from the past that coincidentally wound up in patterns in the Bible, and the same with Nostradamus and him "predicting the future". People can read something and say "oh that happened in the past" but no one can read something and wait for it to happen because most of the time it won't happen. And also, the Bible Code doesn't EXACTLY relate to those things they mentioned. If I find, death, bomb, bush, will that mean the world is gonna explode during President Bush's presidential term? No it doesn't I just happen to find those three words. I don't think that God cares that much about a sniper that he would decode him into the Holy Bible. It just goes to show you that people are very nieve and believe anything. Nyck for president, 2008!

Let me tell you my perspective about why they are hypocrites. They go about preaching that "God" gave us a choice about what we wanted to do with our life and what we want to believe in, but as soon as it is found out that you are Pagan, most go about making fun of you and calling you a devil worshipper. I mean even when I was Atheist the same general Bias about how I was wrong, and stupid, and I was probably going to be the first person to turn to the Anti-Christ. Some Christians I can actually hang out with, these are generally those few agnostic Christians that are out there. But, I have even run into a few that will let me go my way as long as I don't hurt anyone, yet they are true Christians and find the need to try to convert me. And yes, maybe I was making an innacurate generalization when I was talking about the Marines, but I do think I have met enough Christians to make a pretty acurate statement like that one. I'm sorry if I offended you, and I figured someone would be offended, but I am getting tired of people talking about me and then as soon as I go to talk about someone everyone starts yelling at me.
Sorry for the long post, I was just trying to get my point across.
