have you read about it? It's going to rock from what i've "read" and I'll give everyone an update if it is good after I beta test it on the 15th...

well maybe it's true, maybe it's not necessarily WoW I'm sick of more then the stereotypical MMORPG/virtual worlds that are being created.
I think what it comes down to is they all model eachother because if you don't and you try something new it's a business risk... which why would you do something different if you know you can make millions making something simular. Eve Online tried something different and still I didn't like it... I don't know, I have to find out what my taste in games is more, I just wish I could have gotten a trial for WoW before I put 50-60 bucks out for it and can't return it... can't even sell my account on e-bay now... or they'll ban it. I think that's why I'm so bitter about the game, in most other MMORPG's of the past I could easily make MORE money then I spent on the game by selling my account when I was finished. But, with WoW it's so commercial and a big company... I can't make zippo and all that time spent playing is now forgotten... unless I want to keep playing. |

It's already out, (here at least) it plays pretty much like Diablo.

Blizzard aren't the first people to condone this. People still sell accounts, they just don't make public the name of the character so they don't know who to ban.
|
Just ignore Jon and form your own opinion, but a guild on my old server (Illidan) does a bunch of high-end stuff, mainly Molten Core and you can see what you can look forward to end-game on their website (http://www.teamice.org)

nah I tried already, most sites automatically kick your post for selling it... they don't allow it to stay up longer then a few minutes. Blizzard's different because they have a big reputation to keep... or at least that's what happened to me.
E-bay... and some various trading sites I tried all did the same, deleted my post and gave me a warning. |

really? You guys got it before the beta testing was over? Because they just added a new projectile system so you can dodge spells and stand behind objects according to what mmorpg said during an interview... etc

Blah blah blah WoW has this, blah blah blah, DoC has this.
go play runescape members. Seriously. It costs less than other mmorpg's, you have thousands of ways to customize yourself, there is over 55 quests, there is so many different kinds of monsters, the graphics are good, the community is friendly, and one thing it has that NO other mmorpgs have is humor. for example: I was doing this new quest in the desert, and I end up in this little town, were EVERYONE is named Ali. I was laughing soooo hard, ali the snake charmer, ali the camel salesman, ali the bartender, ali the mayor, even the girls names were shorted to ali (actually alice). anyways, runescape pawns you. |

Good, i'm glad to see Blizzard taking some initiative. I'm tired of seeing all these people selling account anyways, like the SWG Jedi accounts that end up selling for $2,000+. That sjust ridiculous.

Wow, huge brain fart. Thought it was out already, weird. Anyways I played the beta and thought that the game played like Diablo considering all the PvE aspects of the game happen like the instances in WoW but without that strategy, making the feeling like Diablo.
|
Anyone who does play WoW, what server do you play on and what level is your character?

especially if it helps college students get through college... I could see if he was getting jedi by not actually being at the computer, or using cheats to get it... then sure, that's bad.

If you think of it that way, CoH has millions to billions of ways to customise yourself. there is over 55 quests, I've heard that the total number of quests in WoW were approximately 64,000 (and they weren't all cut and paste quests-- they are different). there is so many different kinds of monsters, When I played Runescape, it was "kill bunnies till level 5, ducks till 10, cows till 15, goblins till 20, warriors till 30..." the graphics are good, Haha. Compare: http://cityofheroes.gameamp.com/modules/gallery/uploads/ 3466.jpg http://www.runescape.com/img/screenshots/shots/ free_draynor.jpg the community is friendly, I don't know about the paying community, but the free-player's community is for DBZ lovers 10 and under. and one thing it has that NO other mmorpgs have is humor. Other games have humor! Look at this from CoH: http://cityofheroes.gameamp.com/modules/gallery/uploads/ 3450.jpg |

That's the stupidest thing i've ever heard, World of WArcraft does fine because it's one of the biggest mmorpgs out, private servers KILL the game. It says, in the TOG and I actually read the whole thing, "If you enter or host a server not autherized by Blizzard Entertainment(tm)..." then goes on about the consequences.

Anyways, www.mmorpg.com is a good source for information about games... I post a ton about the games after I play them there... hehe
Also, I hear Ryzom recently got a huge population upgrade...
