Talk about not even reading the announcement. Playing/making games is STILL FREE. So you don't get to use the pager, no biggy.

I, myself, use BYOND for the community. Speak for yourself. It's just sad you know? What is happening to the byond we know and love? and lastly, for all we know by this time next year, BYOND could be members only all together, at this rate, thus eliminateing the purpose of BYOND. You dont need the pager,How are DanTom going to afford to run the BYOND servers? From the BYOND Members, you dont need the pager to play games. And 15$ a year is really freiken cheap for what you get. Some webspace, 1 year of BYOND scape, and other features. Get over it, you dont need to get BYOND Members. | |
I dont think they said anything about paying to play just for the pager and other stuff. If im wrong then so be it I still like BYOND.

The good > The bad. 3.5 is a step in the right direction, get used to it. Paying is for extra features, you can still make and play games just fine. I'd rather have the pager detached from the Seeker and not pay for it/use it. It will make for more comercial style games.

I don't mind the pager being removed unless you pay... but it isn't an extra feature, it was there before they made you bay for it. | |
it's always been considered extra- you've never, ever need to use the pager to play games, host games, or build games. it turns out that people abused the pager system so much, and the resulting bandwidth issues make it a money-loss for DanTom. good for them that one of the pay-for features is part of the pager system.
