Strawgate

Today, i was using my brothers computer. I realized I couldnt open any windows without an error. I thought maybe it was a virus. I got my dad to help. We went into run < msconfig, and made is so on startup it goes to Safe Mode. After that we decided to try to repair windows. This is when the proble started, It was goto the installing part and tell us that it couldnt work in safe mode, and it would have to reboot. This turned into a never ending loop. We tried formatting, and making a new setup and canceling it, and nothing works. Were stuck, can anyone help?

Strawgate	Well, If the computer got to the icons it would mater. It goes to the loading screen then it turns blue and goes. Windows setup cannot load in safe mode. Windows setup is restarting the computer.

Cheetoz	sounds like your gonna need to reinstall windows IMO, but maybe others can tell you differently

Scoobert	If you can get to a dos prompt, run chkdsk. I saved a laptop at my work that way.

Strawgate	I cant, its stuck in windows setup every time it starts up then its got to reboot to get out of safe mode, but msconfig makes it load safe mode every time.
