I read in one of digi's posts that the reason all this dragonball is not being cleaned up is lack of time.

I have a free weekend. Give me the power to remove it, and it will be done. :p
Well, what I think is that BYOND should hire some HUB moderators, or at least some new ones...
You do realise that...they can...put their game back up?

Yeah but there's a lot more to it than that.
I once went through every search result for the word "Dragonball" and cleaned up. The problems with that were:
A) A lot of them aren't rips/fan financial, or don't have working download links (so there's no way to verify anything).
B) It creates a huge hassel for the support team. It's not so much the amount of people complaining as the fact that nearly everyone who complains kicks and screams until they pass out.
C) Pretty much all of the active ones put their entries right back up without even thinking about what's happened. It's like a knee-jerk reaction. I wouldn't be surprized if they were completely unaware they were doing it.

When they say a lack of time and man power it sounds like they're just being lazy, but even just the part you want to do is a lot of work.
To give you an idea of how slow the work is, I barely notice the difference between doing it on dial-up and ADSL.

-.-, i think perhaps one db game per day they should inspect ones that are hosted, and if they dont meet the viewers standards, DELETE!

Since when was this BYONDALAIIICWTHMQCS?

(Build Your Own Net Dream As Long As It Is In Compliance With The Hub Mod's Quality Control Standards)

the problem is that 'viewers standards' vary from person to person. we have certain minimal standards that we go by (charging for fanfic, using known stolen materials, etc.), and (as mentioned by DarkView) it takes up a lot of time to go through each entry.

and just hiring more hub mods does not insure that each entry is treated fairly. many of those who spout "clean up the hub! i'll help!" have some level of bias against DBZ or other so-claimed 'rips'. that bias *cannot* happen in hub moderation because it would create more problems than what we have now.

best thing is to filter out those games you don't want to see. i understand that there are certain tools in the works that may help you do just that in the near future.

You're allowed to build what ever you want, but if you're going to put it on the hub it has to comply with a few standards.
I think that's pretty fair considering they're providing what's usually the centeral tool people advertize their game with.
