If you can't see a grapical difference between GC and Xbox, you're blind. try say, Return of the King on GC, then Xbox. The difference is noticible, unless you forcibly ignore it.

Sorry, but may I ask? When did I EVER say anything about comparing ports? And honestly, read more deeply next time before you TRY so hard to make a point.

I can name games on GC that look FAR more beatiful than most games on Xbox.

yeah Wind Waker is better.

I don't see why people are still bashing the Nitendo's Dual Screens. So many people are saying the touch screens just a gimmick, while its more of an accessoire that enchances gameplay.

I don't know about other people, but I enjoy being able to open a status window in the bottom panel, or see where I am on a map in the top panel, while still seeing the actual gameplay footage.
Agreed. I like to be able to see that stuff without having to pause the game.

It dosent matter if a game is 2D, 3D or any other kind of D [lol], as long as the game is fun and keeps your attention, its doing the job it was ment to do, to entertain.
Right. I am one of the gamers who started playing back when the original Nintendo came out, and I do agree that having 3D is a nice feature, it is not required. Hell, I still go back and play games on it even though in a lot of them you are nothing more than a little dot going around killing the other dots (the original Legend of Zelda for example)

Finally, I don't know why you think Final Fantasy CC was crap. I know a number of friends who play it by themselfs and have a blast doing it, and we have had a few FFCC parties over at my house and it was the most fun we had that night.
Right, FFCC is not my favorite out of the Final Fantasy games, but it is still a cool game.

He's talking about Wand of Gameron. <__>
One of the worst Zelda games. Ever.
It was made for the N64DD (disc drive).

Yes, LoZ: Wand of Gameron was so bad it was actually scary....
It was the only LoZ game that I ever purposefully got rid of (I've had a few that went missing, but those weren't on purpose)

It was made on sony phillps machine or something, lot worse than the 64DD.

Most people dont actually count it as a zelda game due to game being made with only minor consent with Nintendo. Horrible game though.

No you guys are wrong, god your wrong.

Back before Nintendo 64 came out, Nintendo hired Sony to make a Super Nintendo CD. After a number of large design changes, arguments between Sony and Nintendo, Nintendo ended up backing out of the agreement with Sony.

Problem is, Sony already had the system close to done. What happened next, was some sort of weird agreement, where both Sony and Nintendo had the rights to the Super Nintendo CD system.

Sony ended up taking the Super Nintendo CD unit they had designed, changed it, and it is now the orginal Sony PSX we know today.

Meanwhile, Nintendo ended up making a deal with Phillips Magnavock, to make a new CD based system for Nintendo, but in the end, the entire deal ended up falling out.

But Phillips ended up still having rights to a number of Nintendo named titles for a few years, due to the contract that they signed by Nintendo.

So then Phillips designed the CD-I unit, which had a number of Zelda Titles and a Mario title on it. And while these titles were not designed by Nintendo, they were still completely legal.

The Zelda series was terrible, nothing like the ones licesed by Nintendo, there was 3 in all, two of them you played as Zelda.

The Mario game was "Mario Hotel" where you had to run through a Hotel and close all the doors or something. this game had moderate success.

The Nintendo 64DD, which used these dual layered disk drives, which you plugged into the bottom of the N64, I believe never seen the day of light in Amercia [while the CD-I did]. But Japana did get it, and it came with N64DD Mario Painter or something, but as far as I know, thats the only game that came out for it, before they cancled it.

Replace everything you said about Sony with Philips and you've got it right.

No I dont, Nintendo orginally worked with SONY before they hired Phillips for the Super Nitendo CD, and if you dont believe me, then you need to check out a number of video game history sites. All of them confirm with with I said.

The Orginal Sony PSX could have very well been the next Nintendo System if Nintendo wasn't so bull headed.

As recall the argument was over how the disk media would be handled. Sony wanted to do disks, while Nitnendo wanted to do disks encased in a card plastic housing.

So is this why Sony took over the console market? To take revenage on Nintendo?(This is a joke so to say.)
In response to Dark_Shadow_Ninja
Sony never took over the market.. And it has to be funny to be a joke.. >:/

Replace took over the market with Attempt to take over.

Edit: deleted off topic crap

I heard that Zelda's Adventure, the third in the series, was actually decent but most people never gave it a glance after The Wand of Gamelon and Faces of Evil came out together.

sorry to break it to you but the PSP was in the top 3 selling console list for a long time... nintendo just recently got a nudge in the sales when they dropped the price and nintendogs + a few other major titles came out. It really got it's butt kicked when it came to launch sales...

True, the PSP had a better launch, but now the DS is way ahead.

The thing is, the ds only offers gameplay. The psp offers a lot more versatility. At the moment the psp sucks but they can improve on it and make it better, while the ds just simply doesn't have capabilities like that... and it relies souly on the software developers.

Are you implying that game consoles should rely on something OTHER than software?

The ps2 has more games out than any other system. The ps2 has over 1000 games and the psone released over 1300... Even if sony loses out on the handheld competition this round, they have enough money to keep going and going year after year.

Sony is in debt millions of dollars. They lose money with every system they sell.

Just wait for Final fantasy advents children to come out.

I will, I'll rent it on DVD. If there are Final Fantasy fans, they'll get the DS. If you were a Final Fantasy Fanboy would you rather have a UMD Movie and some First Person Shooter based on FF7, or Final Fantasies 1 through 6? ...and Crystal Chronicles. But I'm not mentioning that because according to some big wigs here it's not a real game.
darn sony.
their the ones copying nintendo.
the nintendo ds is much more popular than psp, also because of nintendo having games that arent about "pulling people's heads off and killing cops"(blood + gore), it allows for a larger age range.
ds age range: about 5or7 - 50or60
psp age range: 19-30
do the math
plus ds doesnt break as easily as psp(i poked the screen, better get a new psp. i dropped the ds off a cliff, still works. sweet.)
In response to Rky_nick
I agree that the DS is better than the PSP, but I have dropped my PSP plenty of times and it is still intace. My little 3 year old nephew has dropped it, scratched it, and thrown it, and it still works.
In response to Soccerguy13
Well honestly when I pay $250 for a system or handheld I dont want a single scratch or dent on it, I would have slapped him if that was mine.
In response to Shades
He's a little kid he doesn't know better. He got in trouble for it, though. I was just showing mine is durable. I wish I would have gotten a DS. The games are so much better, and the DS Linux project looks promising.

That's not really how it works most the time. They usually tell you all the good stuff, and don't tell you the bad stuff and that's how it works. There's only been a few times there's been lies involved, particularly with games promising something in it and not following through after launch.

Like Risk your life canceling their one million dollar tournament.
In response to Shades
you're thinking about the first year so far. So it doesn't have anything good... yet. Perhaps the psp will sink, but do you really think sony's done for if it does? No they'll make yet another handheld and it will be even better than the last because they learned their lesson. I wasn't expecting them to make a perfect handheld after all... I hate the psp personally. I just see a ton of fan boys for it 24/7.

What if the psp ends up dropping it's price really low to like 150 or 100 a few years from now and releases a few good games for it that really spike your interest and push the limits of interest. Do you hold strong like a rock and stick by your statement with integrity or do you sway back and forth?

I wonder. Lets leave the arguement as is and come back to it a year from now and see how the markets doing. It's really too early to tell who's going to be better in the grand scheme of things.
