Bleh. it looks like it would be fun to adventure in and if you were in need of friends a place to meet people, but I'd probably get bored of it quickly unless all of my friends used it.

It also requires more than 98, so I can't use it.

Out of curiosity, why are you running 98? Does your hardware demand a less-than-XP OS?

I'm too poor for XP. :)

I also like the fact that because I waited for XP, most of its vulnerablilities aznd such were fixed.

Hmm. Maybe try running it in Linux =D although not supported by Linden Labs, a few users claim success with older versions of WineX (Before Cedega)

I was going to get a free account, but then I noticed you HAD to have a preium membership to own any land at all, which was a turn off for me.

Also.. I noticed that the preium members get paid more in game money, weekly and montnly, and they don't even have to log in. If you ask me, that kind of unbalances the game.

I decided not to even do the free memebership.

Maybe Ill go play the sims online instead. :P

Also, there is no way around having to input Credit Card information - it is used to verify the age of players. If you are under 18, you will need a parent's Credit Card to make an account.

*sigh* Here I was hoping I'd finally be able to join.
My parents don't have good enough credit to get a credit card and I don't have one.....

Yeah, they have a debit card. I guess I could probably use that, but they're kinda paranoid about it (then again, they don't have to know...)

How much of a role does owning land have? And also, how much space does the game use? I'm considering asking my mom to let me use her card.

I think the client is 17 MB... I'm now sure how much the cache is.

It's pretty much streamed to your PC and cached, that's how it works...

Um, and I don't know about land, because I don't have any =P
