I got bored today, got PS, and made that. Links to tutorials, etc, would be greatly appreciated guys.

I really dunno how I even got that..just did some random things. I personally think it sucks, but whatever.
I'm new to Gfx as well i started a few days ago.

Drop the lens flare, it's not good (even though it looks pretty. It's generic)!
I found a tutorial earlier the details some techniques in working with space scenes and photoshop in general.

So, here's number 2:

You know, that is kind of my hobby: collecting space art images... I use them for every icon on my computer and my screensavers... It would be really cool to be able to use that program. Is it free to download?

[edit]If so, please provide website...

If not, oh well. I like the image... can I use it in my huge collection of space images?

Go ahead man, feel free to use it however you like (as long as you don't sell it or claim it :P)

I don't plaigarise. don't worry. Think of it: you have your first collector!

I beleive he is using Photoshop (PS is usually the abbeviation for that one)... And in which case, it's definitely not free to download...legally anyways...lol

I decided to give it a shot myself, by following that tutorial... Unfortunately, I have Paint Shop Pro instead of PS, so I had to improvize here and there, figure out the equivalent tools in PSP for some things, and skip some things entirely...

I followed both his starfield tutorial, and his planet tutorial, and made this:

It doesn't look nearly as nice as Greg Martin's stuff, of course, but I'm pretty satisfied with my noobish attempt...lol

Hmmm, I just realized that there are stars in front of my planet... Well, either those are just glowing space dust, or this planet is HUGE...lol

Perhaps someday when I've got my other projects out of the way, I'll look back into messing with this sort of thing...
