I'm using it right now.

Unfortunatly, because it's a new service I guess, they only have numbers way out west; California, particularly. Since I'm in New York, anyone who calls me will be charged long distance. :\

Or, you can use any VoIP service that offers free toll-free calling (800 numbers) and use Free411

Works with Skype, too. For free.

What? Sorry, I'm confused, maybe I'm just not understanding you right.

Free411 is just a directory listing. How would that make it so people don't have to pay long distance when they call me?
Do you mean as a telephone service, or over the computer. You could go with Google Talk. =P

No, use a VoIP service that allows toll-free calls, like Skype. Then call that number and have them connect you. It allows for free PC-to-landline calling without needing to buy credits from your VoIP provider.

PC-to-landline calls =)

I'm not worried about making calls from my PC to landlines. I'm worried about my friends paying long distance to call my PC.

This method doesn't support landline-to-PC calls.

[EDIT]

And I believe no charges will incur on either party for this method.

Then why did you reply ([link]) to this post?
In response to Airjoe
Because I was giving you an alternative to the original VoIP service I stated in my first post.
