Descriptive Problem Summary:
The FLOAT_LAYER constant and anything below it (that is, below -1) do not work on the webclient. I am assuming this is either a planned feature or just an oversight. Some examples:
[1] (Severed World)
[2] (Eternia)
The weapons on the backs of both characters should display on top of the clothes, as the clothes are further from FLOAT_LAYER than the weapons are. Which is to say, they should appear over the other equipment under all circumstances, regardless of their order in the mobs' overlays container.

I should clarify in both scenarios, it works as intended on DreamSeeker.

I'll be sure to look at this and see if I can get a fix in for 508.1286. FLOAT_LAYER should be behaving the same way in 1283 onward (1284 fixing several other bugs though) that it was in earlier versions, but if you can compare it to, say, 1280 or some other build that'd be helpful.
As clarification, what build are you actually running? You didn't post the full build info. |
Funny thing: Looks like FLOAT_LAYER has been broken in DS for ages, but it didn't matter because the server was pre-sorting overlays and underlays. Heh!
