Music Converter/Compressor

Does anyone know a program that can either compress WAV files or convert them to MIDI?

Trying to convert WAV into MIDI is like trying to convert a JPEG to a text file (And understand what the image is!). There's ways to do it, but it's mostly sub-par. Your best bet for MIDI tunes is to find pre-made MIDs of the song you're looking for, that's the best advice I can give.

MIDI is a lost cause unless you want to re-compose it yourself in something like Anvil Studio, but if OGG will do then try Audacity. http://audacity.sourceforge.net.
